Planes and stuff

 In a 10 minute spotting sesson got 2 birds that had been missing from my colection... Enter Air SP-EXH, with the Spicejet colors and Lufthansa's A321NEO D-AIEH, witht the Fanhansa titles... Pretty nice, specially because it was quite a dark day but still, the little bit of sun was on the right place,,, Enter Air, arriving from Warsaw Lufthansa, from Munich

Something we don't get here at Madeira...A Lufthansa Cityline CRJ-900 ( D-ANCK ), so, for me it's as interesting as a bigger bird.... Taxiiing for the departure...

This morning went to the airport for some shots on a French Air Force Falcon 900 but also got this Lufthansa A321 D-AIEH, arriving from Munich. First Lufthansa of the year and also the first in quite some time...

Lufthansa's are rare catches for me as most of them arrived during lunch time ...a crappy time for the light on pics and also a good time to be doing something else.... From the same day of Euroatlantic B767 (check HERE ), the arrival of Lufthansa's A321NEO D-AIEG, from Munich, a mid-afternoon arrival..

 This weekend, the weather has been bad at Madeira, with a lot of holdings, diverting and cancellings... Today, we were supposed to have the premiere of Ural Airlines, from Moscow...unfortunately...it had to divert... Anyway, still made a few shots while at the airport...not many... It was also the first time, this year, I got a Lufthansa and it was a go-around.... Arriving from Munich, ended up diverting to Lisbon and it's now on it's way back to Munich.... Easyjet and Lufthansa should announce on the next days summer operations to Porto Santo island, part of the Madeira archipelago and known as Golden Island. Until now the presence of these airlines at Porto Santo happened only when the planes had to divert from Madeira or due to medical reasons... On a german strong day (which, these days means a Lufthansa flight, from Frankfurt and an Easyjet flight from Berlin...), got, for the first time in long time, some Lufthansa old colors... A320NEO D-AINI, taxiing and backtracking to line up on runway 05 to return to FRA/EDDF - Frankfurt On the back, TAP's A321NX LR on storage: CS-TXA and CS-TXE

 Yesterday got, for the first time the Lufthansa's A320NEO Haupstadtflieger livery D-AINZ... Arriving from Munich at a time that wasn't the best for pics, these were the 3 less bad... Maybe the departure had a better light but, couldn't wait...

I guess it was their intention for some time but it looks like that now will become efective...Lufthansa is shutting down Germanwings...check HERE A319 D-AGWW coming to a stop after a runway 23 landing... The plane is now on service with Eurowings

A few weeks ago Lufthansa started using the A321NEO on the Madeira route. Until a couple of saturdays ago, didn't went to the airport for a specific catch on this bird...then it didn't land...on a bit of a windy day, Lufthansa's A321NEO was the only plane diverting to Porto Santo and then returning to Germany without landing at Madeira.....crap!!! Last Saturday, went to the airport for another try on catching the departure of this bird, as runway 23 was in use...finally managed to get my first shots on the bird.... Departing from runway 23, back to Frankfurt.... down on the apron, Easyjet OE-IZE was starting taxi, for the departure for Berlin, after the first flight on the Berlin-Madeira-Berlin route.

Slowly a new generation of planes are starting to take over, despite it's not that spotable in a quick look.... 2 NEO Airbus "gaining" on just 1 CEO :) TAP A320NEO CS-TVC and Lufthansa's A321NEO D-AIEC with Easyjet's A320 OE-IZC

Was also the first time I got the German airline new livery... check HERE Usually most spotters like a more aircraft clean shot (not to mention the usual aviation photo sites....) but some times it's interesting to get this fully busy apron around the plane...20 years from now, it should be interesting to see how different it will be...or not... :P

Finally managed to get Lufthansa's new livery. Lunch time on Saturdays and Sundays are definitely not my favorite time of the week for spotting but wanted to get Austrian's retro A320 OE-LBO and didn't even noticed which Lufthansa was it... When I got to the airport, A321 D-AIDC with the new livery was preparing to push-back :) Great surprise! Definitey not prize winning pics but the click is done...let's hope I have the oportunity for some better shots of it... Pushing-back to runway 05 ready to taxi...when I saw the first pics, I didn't like the new livery at all but, seeing it live, got me another impression on it and made me change my mind...It's still not an amazing livery but it suits nicely...

It's allways nice to see a full (or almost) with some variety of planes and airlines... I guess mondays are still the days of the week with most traffic at Madeira and if the variety of types isn't that much (Airbus medium haul rulling..)  the mix of tails isn't that bad (as for the fuselages, white is winning for a long distance) The Lufthansa plane is not a regular on mondays..the 2 weekly flights are made on Saturdays but due to the Leslie storm, those flights were changed to monday.

From last month, on the same day of the TAP retro flight (check HERE ), a shot of one of the 2 Lufthansa flights of the day. It's been ages since I last got a Lufthansa...they kept coming on saturday lunch time (and the second fligh didn't made a lot of change on that...), a crappy time either on the light and on the mood for going at the airport.... According to some sources, last saturday the A321 with Lufthansa's new livery (D-AISP) was schedulled to Madeira...unfortunatelly that didn't happened (though, I'm not really a fan of the new livery....) So, decided it was a great oportunity for sharing finally the pic's of their first flight of the current operation, carried through by A321 D-AIDV with the retro livery and received by the water canons of SLCI (fire department) of Madeira Airport. welcome salute entering the apron no yellow for the new livery....... I guess British Airways will remain as a more colorfull flag airline... Until now had only published a pic taken by my daughter...check HERE

Está mais do que na altura da foto da semana, desta vez com 2 extras especiais...o facto do regresso da Lufthansa ter sido com a inauguração de uma nova rota (Frankfurt) e melhor que isso, ter sido feito com o A321 retro D-AIDV, a outra...é o facto das fotos desta entrada não serem minhas, mas sim da spotter mais pequena da família :) Grande orgulho :) (Mesmo que os únicos movimentos que lhe interessem sejam mesmo os banhos...hehe) Fica pois um registo do banho ao retro da Lufthansa e mais alguns registos da manhã da autoria dela e com alguns pequenos tratamentos meus.... Há um ditado que diz que o jardim do vizinho é sempre mais florido...e no caso do spotting, isso é bem verdade já que por mais fartos que os spotters locais estejam de um determinado avião ou companhia, para outros, esses mesmos movimentos podem ser motivo de destaque... Há já muito que não faço uma viagem de spotting, limitando-me a registar, na medida do possível alguns movimentos enquanto em trânsito, como foram o caso destes, em Lisboa (LIS/LPPT)... Nestes casos específicos nem se tratam de novidades absolutas já que qualquer uma destas companhias / aparelhos andaram pela Madeira mas, há já muito que por cá não põem rodas e é sempre agradável revê-los... D-AIDX, A321 da Lufthansa que, depois de algum tempo a voar para a Madeira, decidiu abandonar as rotas.... CS-TFT da EuroAtlantic....estes aparelhos também já marcaram presença pela Madeira mas, apesar de ter preferido "apanhar" um B777, é sempre bem agradável registar um aparelho destes, mesmo que através da janel...
