Condor on 23

Imagem
Former Niki OE-LNZ at Madeira, now with Condor colors, since May 2018, and registered as D-ATCE landing on runway 23. Allways nice to get these landing with that background... and a lucky shot with the beacons just before shutdown... meanwhile, the runway changed for the departure, which was made from runway 05... departing back to Dusseldorf with a couple of Tuifly B738 (D-ATYA and D-AHLK) and an Easyjet Swiss A320 HB-JZY

Week Photo: Tuifly variety

Imagem
In a time when the Tui groups gets more and more homogeneous (aka...boring...) Tuifly is still standing out as the group airline with some variety of liveries and special logojets... These were taken on the same day just within an hour... Chose this one as photo of the week for the great early morning light but also for the mix that kind of ilustrates the variety of liveries.. taxiing to the gate D-AHLK, Hapag-Lloyd Albert Ballun logojet The "egg" livery...D-ATUB pushing back to runway 05

(Not boring) Blue

Imagem
With all the standards in the TUI airlines, I usually refer to regular TUI livery as "boring blue". Fortunately, Tuifly's liveries are everything but boring and it's allways a pleasure to see them around here. A couple of nice Tuifly liveries...B738 D-ATUD, with the BLUE livery and D-AHLK with the Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten Livery. On a more classic note...Enter Air B734 SP-ENI, on the back...

Photo of the Week: Belavia

Imagem
Well...better late than never... Like someone joked about, what better choice for Photo of the Week than this Belavia landing on the beautifull late afternoon light? Despite some of the guys saying that this one was already here, it was my first Belavia. Came in August to Madeira, from Belarus with some team to play with local team CD Nacional, for the UEFA competitions. Hurrey to soccer! :) arrived at runway 05 with the very last sun, after a techinal stop at Porto (LPPR/OPO) EW-250PA On the back, CS-TTU, one of the last A319 added to TAP fleet A nice apron with AeroVip's Do.228 CS-AYT, TAP's A319 CS-TTU, special Tuifly Kreuzflug D-AHLK and Jet2's G-CELC all in all, a nice catch with the extra that B735 arent's that usual around here...

Back to Madeira, from the same day of the Belavia (more on that later...) the light was very nice and this bird (D-AHKLK, from Tuifly, with the Kreuzflug livery) is allways a good catch.. arriving from Basel arriving to the stand with TAP's A319 CS-TTU (one the the "new" A319, received by TAP one month before) and CS-TTJ CS-TTU was previously VT-SCD, from Air India

Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten

Photo of the Week: Under the Rainbow

Imagem
Last Thursday went to the airport to get some of the afternoon traffic, specially Condor's A321 with Sharklets and new livery (which I still had no pics) and the landing of Volotea (the landing of this one was also a first for me...) The weather was a bit dark and with some light rain shower wich was a bit crappy but then, this beautifull rainbow opened just over the airport...it was really beautifull and it lasted quite a long time, somethimes stronger, somethings fainter... Air Berlin's B738 D-ABME with the One World livery take-off, with an amazing rainbow The landing of Volotea's B717 EI-FBJ, "crossing" the rainbow The landing of TAP's A320 CS-TMW with the rainbow a little bit weaker Also a first...the first time I photographed White's CS-TRO landing (until then only had made a couple of night-shots of it, parked for the night) An overview of FNC/LPMA (Madeira International airport) with all of the above planes and a plus: Tui...

Tuifly special liveries

Imagem
Like I mentioned last week, finally caught the DB Regio. Despite the regular Tuifly livery beeing nothing too thrilling (although the yellow livery looks a lot better than the blue one...) still, Tuifly has been the airline that comes to Madeira with the most special liveries and great ones! So, a small selection of these liveries, that I've caught, during times... D-ATUF 's Hapag Lloyd Kreuzfahrt looks a lot like the old Hapag Lloyd livery (but it's a pretty sight indeed...) D-ATUD, the Goldbaren Haribo was also one that I was after for quite a while before getting it... Fantástic livery! D-AHFZ, a nice livery but not too outstanding...never managed to get it in sunny days... The day's I photographed it, the only sun was the one on the tail... D-AHFM, the Blue Haribo looks really nice but the Golden one beats it, no doubt.... D-ATUE the DB1 Regio, really great livery (but the 2, red, looks a lot more colorful...) Only caught it in rainy day...

New Photo of the Week - Tuifly / Hapag-Lloyd

Imagem
Yesterday was Tuifly day. Still wasn't the day to get the Golden Haribo but it wasn't that bad. On a couple of quick stops at the airport, manage to get the landing of the Tuifly / Hapag-Lloyd D-AHLK and the Blue Haribo push-back for departure.... It's been a long time since I last caught these two, specially the one with the Hapag-Lloyd titles... The one with the Hapag-Lloyd titles, despite the livery almost identical to the old one, it has a few diferences, anyway, it still brings some nice memories....

New Photo of the Week - Tuifly specials

Imagem
Tomorow (...actually today, it's past mid-night...) it's Tuifly day. They're currently making 4 weekly flights to Madeira, all of them on Tuesday, which means 3 diferent planes (the first in the morning returns on the last flight of the day). Lately, Tuesdays mean "hunt" day as I'm still missing the Golden Haribo. It's been here at least a couple of times but I never managed to get it. Last weeks we've only been getting "eggs"...regular Tuifly yellow livery... Anyway, found this one among the archives last weekend and remembered that I hadn't seen this one around here also. Despite not beeing a very colorful livery (specially comparing to the Haribos) it would be still very nice to see them around here again.

Hapag Special and Aviocars on the double

Imagem
Yesterday (21.Apr.2009) afternoon went to the airport for some spotting and it was one of those days really worth it. With 3 Tuifly's (Hapag-Lloyds) coming in the afternoon, there was a good chance of getting something really interesting. Before leaving to the airport, already knew that 2 of them were bluey's (boring regular Tui blue livery used by almost all the airlines connected with the TUI group). The 3rd one, in the other hand was something worth the trip: D-AHLK, the only Tuifly special liverie that I hadn't caught yet. Also, when I was on my way to the airport, Jorge Abreu called me, saying that there was a big nose Aviocar parked in the apron...A 300?? Well, definitely worth the trip: I had never had caught a C212-300, here at Madeira. After all it ended being a catch on the double for Aviocars as a while after I arrived, Medic36 (the callsign for Medical Evacuations made from the PoAF C212-100 from Porto Santo) arrived from PXO. This last one is quite an histo...
