Photo of the Week: Memories on the first year

Imagem
2004 was the year I started trying to photograph aviation on a more regular basis. Didn't knew much of photography (still don't...) the material was defnitely not the best (still isn't...it's a hobby...) but had lot of will to try, learn and get as much as I could... Still, during the month of June 2004, only went to the airport on June 1st...not much traffic but this overview had a nice nostalgia.... Aerocondor still existed and made the FNC-PXO-FNC flighs, with the Shorts 360 (CS-TMN). TAP still had the previous colors...A320 CS-TNA (scrapped in 2021) There was that BRA, the brazilian airline that stopped operations in 2010. The plane, PR-BRY, a B733, operated in a few portuguese airlines...TAP, Air Columbus, Euroatlantic and other airlines....current status is stored, according to Airfleets...

O Regional...

Imagem

New Photo of the Week - Air Luxor's Eujet

Imagem
Found this pic during the weekend, when browsing for something diferent for the Photo of the Week... Well, I guess I pretty much found it... EI-DBE taxiing to the stand trough taxiway Bravo with some historic traffic on background: A couple of Aigle Azur's , from when they still were operating Boeings and a couple of Short 360, from Aerocondor that, back then made the Madeira-Porto Santo flights.... Usually the only Fokker 100 we have at Madeira are the Portugália (PGA) ones and if I recall correctly, back in 2004 they weren't even common here... Anyway, this Eujet plane was making some flights to Air Luxor , on the Lisbon-Madeira route. Can't recall the exact events that led to this but for us it was a great oportunity for shooting at some diferent planes and airline...(Blue Line also made some of these flights...) One shot that seemed specially interesting for this entry... A couple of Air Luxor flights taxiing for departure...

Aerocondor at Madeira

This is a post on request from Paulo Olim, Asas Madeira Blog . ;) He asked for Aerocondor pics at Madeira. This was one of the airlines that assured the Madeira-Porto Santo flights. I don't now exactly during which years they made this route but I'll try to get exact dates and post later. I don't know if I really got all the planes they used at Madeira but I'm pretty sure I did.... The most used type was the Shorts 360...(ugly box....) with CS-TMN and CS-TLJ Sometimes they also used the Do-228, a litle plane that I allways enjoyed seeing. Only caught it once or twice and was used usually due to mechanical problems with the Shorts. The other plane they used (not for long) was an ATR-42, which they even said it would be used on regular basis for the Madeira-Porto Santo but by then, things were going really down with the company and it never made more than a few days or weeks on the route.... The "Moscas" (Flies) was also operated by Aerocondor. It...
