Planes and stuff

Looks like Primera Air will also shut down as from tonight... Not the biggest visitor around but still, a regular one at Madeira skies...whish all the best for the employees and their families... Finally after after about a year, managed to get my first Easyjet Switzerland.... A320 HB-JXB pushing back for the departure to Basel On the apron, a bunch of 737's...Primera YL-PSF, Tuifly D-AHFW and Enter Air SP-ESA

There isn't a single time I see a Primera that I don't remember the first time they came to Madeira (JetX back then...)...what a run...after an in extremis photos, realised that I had not card in the camera.... :) Long were those days, and now I don't really rush to the airport just for a Primera ...but still, it's very nice to catch one...it's been a long time since I last photographed it.... This one was photographed on the day of the Novair A321NEO first flight to Madeira (check HERE ) starting push-back to runway 23 B738 YL-PSB departing from runway 23

Back to December 2016 (13th) to retrieve a few unprocessed shots... Side shots are definitely not my favorite ones but I guess their ok on its quality and in the case of the Primera, it's the first pic of this airline I process and publish from last year.... Still remember how much I "ran" to get a Primera, the first time it came to Madeira...Got to the airport just in time to make a couple of shots while landing...just to discover, right after, that I had no card in the camera... :P Anyway, these days Primera is just one of those usuals I don't pay too much atention, except when I can get a diferent shot. Despite taxiing pic's aren't my favs, it's not everyday you get to take some shots on this location... Also...new reg. for this one: YL-PSB, used to be OY-PSB and TF-JXE (check HERE )

It's been quite a while since I last caught a Primera (according to my records, since January...) Wasn't even expecting this one (positioned flight) ... OY-PSF entering apron, through taxiway "Charlie" Crew in relax mode with walkaround clothes (like I said, positioned flight...) with the F/O filming the arrival at Madeira

I hadn't get any Primera Air since they restarted flying to Madeira. They usually bring the B737 OY-PSA which I already have and usually they come on a time that nothing else (of interest) is arriving or leaving... Anyway, today, the scenario was a bit diferent...the flight from Oslo was beeing made by an A320 from another airline and one that still hadn't been here: Air Avia, from Bulgary! A big thanks to A.M., for the info. Runway 23 was in use so, no rush to get the arrival. Just went for the departure... When I got there, it was still getting ready to the return flight. Ground Force handling...with the buy of GF, it's a good idea to also record those colors, who knows what changes will be made... Last Monday morning, there were a few motivs for an airport visit: Jet2 was returning (from Manchester) and starting a new route, from Leeds, with the 2 planes arriving in the same half-an-hour) and the best: Air Finland was returning and this time with new colors. Nevertheless, one of the most interesting moments in the morning was provided by Primera . The plane was first noted for having a KLM winglet. And then, on take off, from runway 23, was really noticed for making one of the most amazing take-offs I've seen around here... Unfortunatelly both I and the other spotter that was with me weren't paying attention and when I managed to point my camera and take some pics it was already gaining some altitude... OY-PSF taking off from runway 23 Getting the left wing down right after rotation and keeping it that way for a while in the same height at first glimps gave me the impression that it was entering into a stall but then it started climbing... Reminded me the ...

One of the airlines that returned for the Winter season at Madeira was Primera. These couple of shots were still on the original photos folder without any processing or uploading to anywhere....

Finally managed to get this one! Has been coming to Madeira for a while but today was the first one I managed to be at the airport for it. Traffic at Madeira on Wednesdays is usually quite boring and for the last weeks the Austrian was the only interesting traffic of the day (for me..) Today, Hamburg International and Primera came back to Madeira but they managed to organize flighs so we have the Hamburg in the begining of the morning, the Primera at lunch and Austrian at the middle of the afternoon...three trips to the airport? No way... (By the way, today's registrations for those planes were D-AHIM and OY-PSA) Anyway, the Austrian ... I find the Star Alliance (and Austrian) to fit very nicely to the B738...

Still on the last April, 21st traffic (It was a very nice day, like I already said....) It's now time for a couple of Nordic ones and some really nice catches they were.... It was the first time I caught Viking Airlines with the colorfull tail ( Last time I caught this plane , it was still looking a litle bit "pale"....) Also, it was the first 700, I photographed from Primera...(from the side, it looks rather "short" )
