Despite not beeing exactly the Hapag-Lloyd livery I remember seeing back in the 90's and early 2000's, it's still nice to see this Tuifly with the Hapag-Lloyd titles...

Week Photo: Tuifly variety

Imagem
In a time when the Tui groups gets more and more homogeneous (aka...boring...) Tuifly is still standing out as the group airline with some variety of liveries and special logojets...
These were taken on the same day just within an hour...

1/60 panning of Tuifly D-AHLK landing at Madeira's runway 05, last weeked:

Hapag-Lloyd

Imagem
Back to April, a few shots of Tuifly's Hapag-Lloyd.
It's allways nice to get these colors, for a change to the regular ones...
These are from the same day Portuguese Air Force Sqn.502 brought its C-295 with 60th Aniversary special livery, for the first time. Check HERE

Photo of the Week: Under the Rainbow

Imagem
Last Thursday went to the airport to get some of the afternoon traffic, specially Condor's A321 with Sharklets and new livery (which I still had no pics) and the landing of Volotea (the landing of this one was also a first for me...)

The weather was a bit dark and with some light rain shower wich was a bit crappy but then, this beautifull rainbow opened just over the airport...it was really beautifull and it lasted quite a long time, somethimes stronger, somethings fainter...

Easyjet Sharklets

Imagem
Last week we had a couple of Air Berlin's A330...as nice as that sounds, it's not quite new stuff for me and for now, the oportunity of making, finally, some decent shots of an Easyjet with sharklets is far more exciting, specially with this lovely afternoon light :), so Week Photo for G-EZWH, making the Bristol fligh to/from Funchal, last Thursday.
Some shots of the arrival, earlier, also to runway 05

Ventura e Columbo 2

Imagem

Airbus A310 at Madeira

Imagem
The posting on some FB aviation groups reminded me of sharing these pics on the A310 at Madeira.
It doesn't show every A310 I've caught but as far as I can remember it does represent each livery I managed to get around here ...
(got a few regs from TAP and Sata...)

Some Sata colors, in the A310...

Tuifly Specials

Imagem
Last Tuesday was German day....
The first ones were the Tuifly. 4 of them....

A couple of them were just regular yellow Tui livery but the other two were a couple of special liveries... !!
The first (already at the airport when I arrived) was already known D-ATUE, with the  DB ICE IM ZUG ZUM FLUG livery (DB Air One) and it was expected.

The other one was a surprise to me and despit I already had some pics of it, it was quite some time since I last caught it....the Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten (D-ATUF)

Little Spotters...

Imagem
Yesterday had a really nice morning of spotting...
Traffic was really nice and there was a really nice group of spotters to hang around and chat all morning long...
Even if some of the pics got really crappy...who cares?! It was quality time...

(one old lady even came to ask us if anyone important was to come...she's only used to that much photographers  when some VIP arrives at the airport....LOL)

Anyway pic planes will be coming next days...for now just this one:
Looks like someone else was also having a blast, watching the planes... ;)

This kind of situation allways reminds me these 2 pics (Check HERE and HERE) of old days...
Despite the balcony and the clothings are diferent and although aviation is not that far and unknown these days, the magic is still there and the dreams still take-off with the planes...

Enjoy kids!

New Photo of the Week - Carrier take-off

Imagem
This pic has already a couple of years but I hadn't uploaded it anywhere. It's one of those that really makes you understand why LPMA-Madeira is sometimes referred to as the air carrier airport...

The next two pics of this take off also turned out really nice. You can check it HERE and HERE

Currently this plane is "wearing" the special Blue Haribo livery..

New Photo of the Week - Memories on a Deutch Russian

Imagem
The way I caught the Golden Haribo, last week, reminded me of this one. Like I mentioned of that entry, back then, we had little more info than the arrivals and departures page, from Madeira Airports and usually went to the airport blind and happy with whatever it came.
I remember that I was about to leave but then, I saw another one coming and decided to wait.

Back on the distance, it seemed big...A310. Great! Usually 310's back then were from Hapag-Lloyd and this one seemed like the regular blue but after a few moments it didn't seem blue...what was that?
When it came close enough to see the colors and fuselage details, I went crazy! What a fantastic livery!
Back then, never had heard of S7 (Siberian Airlines)...didn't even knew if it was some publicity, new airline or whatever...
Anyway the livery was just amazing!

Back then, traffic seemed a lot more interesting and Hapag-Lloyd was regular with the A310 and a lot of flights...
These days, despite Winter season is suppos…

New Photo of the Week - Tuifly / Hapag-Lloyd

Imagem
Yesterday was Tuifly day.
Still wasn't the day to get the Golden Haribo but it wasn't that bad.

On a couple of quick stops at the airport, manage to get the landing of the Tuifly / Hapag-Lloyd D-AHLK and the Blue Haribo push-back for departure....

It's been a long time since I last caught these two, specially the one with the Hapag-Lloyd titles...

The one with the Hapag-Lloyd titles, despite the livery almost identical to the old one, it has a few diferences, anyway, it still brings some nice memories....

Memories: Britannia Airways

Imagem
A few days ago, Jorge shared on it's blog some memory entry regarding a US military traffic.
It was a really nice entry regarding a traffic I never had seen around here, but amazingly, the thing that I most enjoyed on the all entry was a little detail on one of the pics...a Britannia Airways tail, on the apron...

Things and opinions really do change...
Back then I used to hate that livery, though it was old looking and those lines were awfull to photograph, specially for a guy that back then was just starting to photograph planes...
Some of the planes were starting to get the Tui livery which I thought (at the time) it was a great livery...
(That was before they started painting every plane, from Britannia, Thomson, Hapag-Lloyd, Jetairfly, etc....)

These days I'm completely full of Tui liveries (which I usually call Boring Blue...the Tuifly's look a little better...but really just a little....) and think that the Britannia livery after all was really nice and it would be g…
