Planes and stuff

It's allways nice to get Tuifly D-ATUZ, with the RIU Hotels special livery. In this case, double luck...was one of those days, when the wind causes real problems at LPMA...during the afternoon a lot of planes had trouble landing and diverted or went to holding. Just after I arrived, the Tuifly got the clearance to land....and right after the landing, the winds went out of limits again for at least one more hour....so, a quick stop that really payed for getting this one...

From last Tuesday...Tuifly D-ATUZ RIU livery is one of my favourite liveries (and one of my least photographed....)  Managed to arrive at the airport a little before the landing, with no special wind, Tuifly B738 seemed to come in nice and steady.... About to touchdown.... But then, it seemed to catch some ground effect and just didn't touchdonw... Finnaly, with quite some runway already gone, it started the go-around....(I know...it's a crappy shot, with lots of heat waves but, it's just for the record....)

Tuifly is still one of the airlines that brings us more special liveries. I really do like this livery, beeing carried by B738 D-ATUZ for the RIU Hotels but never managed to get a pic that I considered really nice...mostly are with bad weather and/or on the apron/taxiiing...not my favourite kind of pics... This one isn't a wow pic but, at least is a landing action shot.... Check more D-ATUZ pics HERE

From the same day of the Royal Navy Merlin 's (Check HERE ), the arrival of Tuifly's D-ATUZ, with the RIU Hotels special livery ...it still wasn't the day for a nice sunny landing...

It's not every day (at least, not in Madeira) that you get 3 special liveries in about half an hour, 2 of wich are new to me (one for the first time at Madeira...) D-AGER with the Germania 30th aniversary livery #flygermania arriving at the stand. At Madeira for the first time..Nice livery! Tuifly's D-ATUZ, wearing a very nice RIU Hotels livery. Has been here before but this was the first time I got it... 2 new special liveries out of 3 planes...a nice line up at LPMA's apron... the 3rd special livery (or the first...as this was the first one I got this day, departing to Lisbon, were it's based) Easyjet's G-EZEZ with the Napoli sticker New glass protection in some of the public balcony...
