Photo of the Week: Jet2

From exactly 1 month ago (September, 14), a few shots of the first Jet2 planes I got after the Covid shutdown (and the first ones I process and publish from 2020)...

Jet2 is currently the airline flying from more UK origins to Madeira....

Landing on runway 23, it seemed to point for some nice take-offs from that runway but for the take-off they took runway 05...more taxiing and ground take-off run from this spot...

Both planes are published here for the first time...

Flying over Porto Santo

Imagem
These were on the "bucket" since last November.... They were taken on the day of the activation of AM3 during a couple of passes over Porto Santo, for some aerial shots of military LPPS (AM3) and...of course, the rest of the island. Indeed a fantastic oportunity given by the Air Force to be present at such an event and my baptism on the new C-295, after beeing already "baptized" on the C-130 and the C-212 (next stop...the EH-101..LOL) The island is rather small and this is pretty much everything in one shot.... Approaching the beach (with around 9Km of fantastic golden sand...) The bubbled window provided some great views and quite a diferent framing...looks like you're outside the plane... Vila Baleira Hotel and Aparthotel Luamar... Overview of the Colombo's Resort and Pestana Hotel, backed by Ana Ferreira's Peak. On top right, the Golf. Pestana Hotel.... Overflying LPPS at mid-altitude, approaching AM3 The AM3, with a the Alert Merlins and anoth...

Samyang 8 mm f/3.5 Aspherical IF MC Fish-eye

Imagem
Decidi atirar-me e encomendar.

Air Dolomiti

Air Dolomiti Embraer 190LR I-ADJP arriving at Venice. Air Dolomiti has one of those really simple but nice liveries (personal opinion...) that fits really well on the Embraer. Curiously, the first time I made some photos on one of its planes, was also in Venice, back in 2005: I-ADLN, an ATR-72 that is now scrapped, after beeing transfered to Asian Wings Airways, in 2011...time really goes by...
