Planes and stuff

  Pretty sure it's the first Jet2Madeira photo I publish...and it's a double stack... G-DRTF, baptized Jet2Madeira starting the taxi for the return flight to London Stanstead, while G-JZHZ is coming to a stop, after a runway 05 arrival, from Bristol.

 For a change on Air Invictus 2026 pics, back to Madeira, with a Jet2 A321 which is still quite rare for me (not so much around here...) A321NEO G-SUNW arriving from Birmingham, on the day I made my first shots at Portuguese Air Force Falcon 900 (check HERE )

Finally, some shots on Brussels Airlines new livery. First time for me. A320 OO-SBC arriving on runway 05, from Brussels, yesterday afternoon.  Looks like Jet2 made its last passenger flight with the B757 this weekend. G-LSAI was the plane..never got it but, anyway, a good moment to honor this bird some pics of the airline's first B757 at Madeira...G-LSAH, back in 2011 More pics of this day, HERE

 A spot I don't use much...the walking bridge near runway 23 treshold... It's really a nice spot to be near the planes and try some shots like this as it is a place used by many spotters and specially tourists for its proximity to planes, landing and linning up.. Last monday Jet2 made its maiden flight from Belfast to Madeira. B738 G-DRTJ coming to a stop, on runway 23 Passengers beeing received with flowers... and the usual "family photo", with crew, airport and handling personnel. Let's be honest...no one, on the spotting community (or any other, by the way...) cares about this kind of pics...a welcome bath, provided by the local fire trucks allways catches the eye of everyone and its a great marketing move...this...is just meh....

 Finally....3 Weeks after started flying to Madeira witht the type, my first catch of a Jet2 A321... G-HLYA, arriving this morning, from Birmingham

From the same day of TAP's Star Alliance (check HERE ), Condor's "borrowed" A320, from Bulgaria Air, LZ-FBG, taxiing for runway 05, for the return flight to Stuttgart waving from both pilots for the spotters...

Allways nice to get a Jet2 with this kind of light... B738 G-JZHB arriving from Manchester... Curiously, it's former D-AHFS...got it once, as HLX (Hapag Lloyd Express), back in January, 7th, 2010:

While waiting for the departure of TAP CS-TNJ (check HERE ), still got the arrival of Jet2 B738 G-DRTT, while coming to a stop and exiting the runway. A nice catch as it has been quite a while since I last got a Jet2 and rarely with this kind of light... And...curiously...DRTT is the Regional governamental branch that is responsabile for transportation (the land one....) :)  

 Went to the airport for the arrival of an USAF C-21 (check HERE) and managed to get Jet2 B757 G-LSAJ...it's been quite a long time since I last got one of these.... Taxiing for the departure to Manchester...

The first Jet2 I publish from this year...B738 G-GDFC, curiously, the one that had the tail strike at Madeira, back in 2014, staying quite some time, for repair (check HERE ), departing from runway 05 to Leeds.
