TUI Farewell to B767

Imagem
The TUI group made yesterday its good-bye to the Boeing 767, at Amsterdam, with the departure of PH-OYJ to Istambul. This plane was use in several of the Tui Group airlines (UK, Belgian, Dutch) and a cerimony of farewall was held at Amsterdam. Around here, we had Tui 767 a few times but it wasn't a common plane to see around... G-OBYE back in July 2017

A freighter previous life

Imagem
From last year (June), a couple of shots of  Tui Airways B752 G-OOPB that I had taken and never published... Curiously, this plane already has another "life", beeing converted to freighter and about to enter service with CargoJet Airways, as C-GCJB The only other pics I had published of this bird was still with Thomson titles...

The last Tui Airways B752

Imagem
Was checking some earlier pics from this year and found a few shots that I still hadn't processed, back from June on what should be the last B757 I got from Tui Airways before the airline retired the model... G-OOBP, arriving from Manchester...

Gone....

This week, we got some losses...(aviation related...): The shutting of Great Dane Airlines.... (Embraer 190LR OY-GDA at Madeira, in March 2020. Check more Great Dane pics, HERE ) The last Tui Airways flight with the B757... (B757 G-OOBD landing at Porto Santo (PXO/LPPS), with Thomson titles, back in September 2014) and the last flight of Alitalia (now being replaced by ITA Airways as the new flag carrier)... (A320 EI-IKL at Barcelona, back in 2019)

Photo of the Week: Sunwing from Manchester

From last week, the first time I got some decent shots on this hybrid ... Actually, a Tui Airways flight from UK - Manchester carried by B738 G-FDZY with Sunwing titles and tail. Landing on runway 05...

TUI MAX at Porto Santo

A couple of shots of Tui Airways B737 MAX8 G-TUMB arriving at Porto Santo (PXO/LPPS), from UK First time I got a MAX at Porto Santo island.... Landing on runway 36, in the morning...

757

Imagem
It's been quite a while since I last got a Boeing 757... With TUI Airways flight resuming to Madeira, we started getting some of these birds flying here (unfortunatelly due to idiotic UK decision to put Portugal back to amber list, including Madeira, that has around 4 daily new Covid cases, some of them detected and isolated on arrival, may stop these flights again...) Anyway, last monday the main purpose was to get the first flight of Sunclass with new livery (also the first flight from Copenhagen, after the lockdown) but, still managed to get a couple of TUI Airways B752... G-OOBN arriving from Birmingham...

Bizjet apron

Imagem
Today went to the airport to get former Tuifly special livery D-ATUI with its new British registration, on duty with Tui Airways and the apron had a few more than usual bizjets...(and another one arrived later...)

Photo of the Week: British flights back

Imagem
This week we had the return of the flights from UK, by TUI Airways, WizzAir, British Airways and Easyjet. Unfortunatelly, only managed to get 3 of TUI Airways flights, on Friday afternoon. Was expecting to manage to get a 4 TUI row at the airport but on time schedulle of TUI Belgium and the delay of the TUI Airways from London Gatwick only allowed me to get 2 TUI planes in a row... A few shots of B738 G-FDZX, arriving and departing from/to Manchester (MAN/EGCC) Departing with 3 stored TAP's on the back The arrival, to runway 05, with some wind... touch down with TUI Belgium B737MAX OO-TMB taxiing to the holding point on Charlie Push-back and positioned departure back to Manchester...

The British are coming...

Imagem

Photo of the Week: Last TUI Airways

Imagem
TUI Airways (TUI UK) made its first after-Covid flight to Madeira on October, 26 but that route didn't last long... Due to last British Goverment restrictions on vacations abroad, yesterday (a couple of weeks after restarting...) was the last flight, at least for a few more weeks, suspending the only route they began...London Gatwick B738 G-FDZF on final to runway 05...

Photo of the Week: Tui UK

For this photo of the week, a shot I hadn't processed yet, from Vinci Airports Spotters Day 2018 with an airline that still haven't returned to Madeira, after Covid shutdown...TUI UK... B738 G-TAWB departing from Madeira's runway 23...

TUI Uk B752

Imagem
TUI UK B752 G-OOBE ready for push-back Always a pleasure to see a B757...it's been a while since I last got a TUI Uk 757...looking at my files, this year still hadn't processed any TUI plane photo...don't really know if I didn't get any or got it but still are on the unprocessed folders...still, a nice catch anyway... On the back, Jet2 B737 G-JZBM taxiing to runway 05

Travel Service

Imagem
Another batch of pics from the day of the visit of the Portugal Spotters at Madeira: The arrival and departure of Travel Service B738 OK-TVS... landing on runway 05 tails on the apron, not as blue as it used to be on monday mornings--- Meanwhile, the runway changed and the take-off was from runway 23

Photo of the week: Tails

Imagem
It's allways nice to see a full (or almost) with some variety of planes and airlines... I guess mondays are still the days of the week with most traffic at Madeira and if the variety of types isn't that much (Airbus medium haul rulling..)  the mix of tails isn't that bad (as for the fuselages, white is winning for a long distance) The Lufthansa plane is not a regular on mondays..the 2 weekly flights are made on Saturdays but due to the Leslie storm, those flights were changed to monday.

TUI Uk

Imagem
Monday mornings...not exactly as UK Blue as it used to be but still we can manage to fit a couple of TUI Uk planes in a frame... This was the same day of my first catch on Easyjet 's Berlin livery (check HERE ) B738 G-FDZD finishing the push-back while bigger brother B752 G-OOBE departs from runway 23 Curiously, G-OOBE was the plane used by TC&Starquest Expeditions back in 2011, including a stop at Madeira (check HERE )

Spotter Junior

Imagem

TUI Airways from 23

Imagem
From the same day of TAP's A330 retro CS-TOV (check HERE ), TUI Airways B738 G-FDZB departing from runway 23... The first pics of this airline I publish from this year...

Belgium Family Life...Getting stupid

Imagem
Had already some shots of Thomson's (TUI Uk) Family Life G-FDZG (check HERE ) but this was the first time I got the belgium one (OO-JAF). With runway 23 in use, would probably get some nice shots but decided to try to find a bit of a diferent spot for this take-off, as the G-FDZG had also been caught from here.... Well...long story short....this is the only pic I got of the plane.....
