TAP a caminho das sharklets

Imagem
Segundo parece, o CS-TMW é o primeiro dos aparelhos da TAP em que serão instaladas as sharklets..logo se seguirão outros, pelo que esta visão e silhuetas serão, dentro de algum tempo, cada vez mais raras.... Aterrando no Porto (OPO/LPPR) a bordo do A319 CS-TTP

Erj-145 at Porto

Imagem
Just got one of my best catches at Porto accepted at Jetphotos (Brussels isn't in my most usual companies and B733 with winglet also isn't....) Check it HERE So, decided to share another pic from Porto, also an unsual catche, despit it's a national carrier and one that comes to Madeira. They only bring to Madeira the Fokker 100 so, getting their ERJ-145 it's allways nice.... CS-TPJ entering LPPR apron

Brussels Airlines

Another nice catch I made at Porto was this Brussels Airlines B737. The only other time I had caught a Brussels Airlines plane was a couple of years ago, in Barcelona, and the plane was a lot more interesting than this one (a BAe 146...check it HERE ) but this one was a lot more closer and anyway it's allways nice to get different stuff... OO-VEG taxiing to the runway (through the terminal windows...)

Ryanair at Porto

Imagem
I guess that in the days I was Porto airport (or as the english say...don't really know why...Oporto....) the most usual airline was Ryanair...on the day I got the car and in the day of my departure Ryanair traffic was quite a lot... Anyway just managed to shot 2 or 3 of them and, behind the glass of the terminal only this one went ok (and was lucky enough to be one with Comunitat Valenciana titles...

Inflight

Imagem
A few days ago was complaining that most of my inflight shots were quite crappy, for several reasons, dirt, the photographer (...), etc... This week, on the return flight to Madeira, got a really nice seat for some shots and this time managed to get some pics that aren't any work of art but didn't turned out that bad... The plane was CS-TTS, a A319 from TAP. The flight: OPO-FNC after take-off, the view was really nice with also those fields colored by different tones... After a regular flight...passing behind Porto Santo... After passing Rosário, the winds, oposite to previous day, were calm... This was the right side of the plane for the landscaps but the wrong side for the sunlight... down, on the left the Aquapark Passing by the City of Santa Cruz, on final. Pointing out, Vila Galé Hotel. In front of it a small platform were I took a few days ago some ND filter shots. Check them HERE Landed....spoilers up and passing by the wild life controller ...

Aviocar replacement next Friday

Imagem
Like I mentioned on the post regarding this Photo of the Week, next Friday, the Portuguese Air Force C-212 Aviocar will be replaced at AM3 - Porto Santo by the newest C-295. After 34 Years this replacement definitely brings mixed feelings... I grew up with the Aviocar (I'm also 34) and since I can remember the "trooper's plane" (o avião da tropa) has been my closest connection with the military aviation in a place where military planes weren't common at all and at a time that you didn't have internet. Madeira and Porto Santo population had this plane on its heart for all these years of duty in benefit of locals. On the other hand, the C-295 will definitely bring new  efficiency to its missions as the modern and new generation plane that it is... Obviously I'm only mentioning the aircraft's as I consider the work of the crew as a Top Work with either plane and  I'm pretty sure that now they will have  even more conditions to perfom their...

TriStar

A couple of guys from the Madeira Spotters are going, this weekend, for a spotting trip, at Mallorca. The last time I went to Mallorca was back in 2002 and it was also the first time I flew the Tristar. (the second and last time I flew it was in the return trip....) The  plane was CS-TMR , from Yes, which later originated White. For most of the people, the trip was starting in a bad way, due to the delays but I couldn't complain about that...hehe! Like I said, due to some delay, we lost our slot for Mallorca. That day, was a crazy day at Mallorca, with lots of traffic and getting a new slot was not beeing easy. We were already inside the plane and waiting, with everybody complaining about the delay and the heat. Usually I'm very shy on those things but, I walked up into the front and asked to visit the cockpit...and they alllowed....amazing!!! If I can remember well, it was the first time I was inside the cockpit of a major bird and it was fantastic (specially on a b...
