Continuing with the 5 themed entries.... After the 5 highest rated pics at Airliners , this post shares my 5 most viewed pics at Jetphotos , the other Aviation Photo Database where I usualy upload my pics... #1 - Runway's not that way.... Taken in 2004, still with the Sigma 70-300, it's not a very sharp pic (it was taken from near GELO, very far away...) but the moment makes the photo with G-TTOE , an A320 from GB suffering the effects of crossed winds on short final... #2 - Aer Lingus Premiere Aer Lingus was one of those airlines I allways wanted to see around. In 2007 that wish became true with EI-CVD as the first Lingus around here... Unfortunatelly they didn't come for long but still managed to take a couple of pics that are in my favs... (this is one of them....) #3 - Bridge landing... The new part of Madeira's runway, with the columns is allways something that really calls attention  of everyone, allowing some diferent shots...it's not ev...

Like I mentioned yesterday, on the Photo of the Week entry , will be publishing some more 5 themed entries... This one is regarding my 5 Top rated pics at Airliners.net. It's not the ones with the most views, they're just the 5 ones that have been best voted by airliner viewers... #1 - Asas de Portugal at Funchal 500 years Celebrations (2008) PoAF Alpha-Jets 15250 and 15206 on an amazing effect of smoke and condensation... Perfected rating (5) from the users and defnitely on of my favorite pics,.. #2 - Down into 05... rated 4.5625: G-EZAG , an Easyjet A319 going down into runway 05. This is really a very nice spot. Best time, on the late afternoon... Unfortunatelly only went there once, with Jorge... must try it some day again (with the A330...) #3 - Air Berlin's belly rated 4.5: Air Berlin's new livery looks very nice even from under the plane ( D-ABCD ) and with the light of that day, the pic turned out really nice! I don't usually like pics ...

Down to 05

Today had planned on going for the lunch traffic....a few Air Berlins, Primera and Eurocypria and with luck, the Easyjets take-offs... Wake up with a really nasty weather, raining a lot and very very dark and cloudy....definitely not a good day for photo spotting....stayed at home...traffic wasn't landing at LPMA, anyway...(due to visibility). During the morning got an email from Jetphotos . One of my recently uploaded photos was on Top4 of last 24Hours. It's allways nice when your photo gets that much visibility... This one was taken about a year ago, after another pic from Rui Freitas , that showed a diferent angle. Tryed some places and really enjoyed the result of this one. The feeling I have, looking at it, is of a dive into runway 05. (actually it's pretty much a regular approach with some optical ilusions of size and height. The runway looks even smaller and the plane even higher.
