Planes and stuff

 Back to 2019 (November), was checking some unprocessed/published pics and found this. Had already published some pics of the arrival (check HERE ) but none of the departure... Condor A320 retro D-AICH departing back to Dusseldorf, from runway 23 with the last light... On the back, in the apron, Cessna 525 Citation OO-SCT and at the sea, a cargo ship departing from Caniçal...

With more flights than before, Condor is still flying (glad it does...) Don't know if the current livery will soon be a retro (after all, those Thomas Cook titles and heart will most probably go...) but, for now it's allways nice get it this retro livery. The second time I get it on this plane, after beeing removed from D-AICA and beeing applied on this one... On this day, went for a bit of a different spot for the runway 23 landing...it's quite near the usual spot but a bit higher...not a good place for the touchdowns but really like the approach perspectives... D-AICH on final to runway 23, from Dusseldorf...

Eurowings returned this week for the winter season. After a first flight, last Wednesday, from Cologne, yesterday we had another fligth from that german city. With runway 23, afternoon take-offs are usually interesting but this one was more interesting than usual...the passengers had a scenic departure back to Germany... The plane was a former Air Berlin B738, D-ABAF For the departure, the pilot requested a right turn after take off...the ATC was a bit confused, stating that right turns after take-off weren't allowed due terrain...but after explained the safety level before turning, the ATC allowed it... despite the early take-offs, tought that due to the request they would make a late rotation...wasn't wrong.... On the back, Condor retro A320 D-AICH, British Airways A320 G-GATP, Transavia France B738 F-HTVI and another Condor A320...D-AICD Was expecting a SATA like departure, with a scenic view crossing the island to the north and then to the next waypoint but ...

Back to April, also on the day of Brussels Smurf (check HERE ), Condor time... Thursdays are usually a strong day's for the german airline with several planes trough the day... On the afternoon, the departure of A321 D-AIAC, with its "brother" D-AIAH waiting of the runway and smaller A320 D-AICH on the apron, still with the older colors: First pic I publish here of D-AIAC....on the right, Portuguese Air Force C-295 16711 was performing a MEDEVAC mission from Porto Santo (Check HERE )
