Photo of the Week: Special post...Condor Farewell to 757

Imagem
This week Condor said good-bye to its Boeing 757 with a special farewell flight carried by D-ABOM between FRA-VIE-FRA. Condor's B753 were quite an interesting sight around Madeira, for many years...so this deserves a special post with some photos taken over the years... D-ABOB D-ABOM, more HERE D-ABOE, the only 757 cockpit I ever went. 20 years ago, hope everything is running smooth with Capt. Eric Altendorf. Still one of the best welcomes I had. D-ABOI, more HERE D-ABOJ, more HERE Willi, D-ABON, more HERE D-ABOC, more HERE D-ABOA These were really special planes and definitely will be missed around here.

Still on the previously unpublished pics, a Condor B753, D-ABOJ, at Madeira, back in 2014. Check the other pics of the plane from that day, HERE

Sunny Heart

I guess St.Valentin's day is the perfect day to share these ones... Yesterday was the first day I managed to get Condor's livery, with the sunny heart and it looks really nice. Like I said before, a lot better than it looked in drawings and other pics... Off course, the sunny morning sure helped a lot...pretty sure that today the result would be a lot worse to share (if shareable at all...) D-ABOJ entering the apron, through taxiway Charlie , after landing on runway 23 That yellow engine reminds me of older Condor livery Take off to Leipzig also from runway 23, fortunately...

Up in the back

Lately haven't been much in the mood to waste the camera's curtains with Transavia...after all, it's all the same and when they do have a special livery, they don't bother getting it here.... But, I guess this shot was one worth it...with Condor's B753 D-ABOJ taking off in the back from runway 23 to Leipzig while Transavia's PH-HSD  was finishing push-back to runway 05, for its return to Amsterdam. First time I got Condor's new livery Looks a lot better than I had expected from drawings or other pics...
