Planes and stuff

Today, we had the visit of one of the most famous aviation bloggers, Sam Chui, for a quick visit. Even for someone as he, with lots and lots of airports on its record, visiting Madeira was a dream come true. Arriving from Lisbon, on board TAP A319 CS-TTR (and it was quite a long time since I last got a '19)

A319 CS-TTR_, A330 CS-TOL e A340 CS-TOC, entre outros... Por hoje fica um registo ar-terra que engloba exemplares das frotas de longo curso (A340e A330) e médio curso (A319) da TAP Portugal. Podia ser também uma forma de homenagem à nossa companhia de bandeira mas, infelizmente não é...com inúmeros cancelamentos nos últimos dias. incluindo hoje voo com estudantes que regressavam à Região após viagem de finalistas, o serviço tem sido muito mau... Não faço ideia (ou até talvez faça....) das verdadeiras razões mas se até posso acreditar que os bons profissionais da companhia estejam a fazer o que esteja ao seu alcance para minorar estes problemas, a verdade é que não deixa de ser uma situação especialmente grave para os ilhéus e um serviço muito mau aquele que tem sido prestado pela companhia nos últimos dias....

Por hoje fica um registo rápido de um A319 da TAP (CS-TTR) na final para a 05, num dos dias de vento que fustigaram recentemente o Aeroporto da Madeira. A aproximação deste TAP e do Transavia seguinte seriam relativamente calmas mas, tendo seguido viagem, soube que algum tempo depois os ventos ficaram fora do limite, impedindo várias das aterragens ao longo do dia...

Do passado dia 10 de Outubro, cores nacionais nas versões civil e militar, com o TAP A319 CS-TTR a taxiar para o stand após a chegada, enquanto o C-295 16706 da Esquadra 502 da Força Aérea Portuguesa se preparava para regressar ao Porto Santo, após MEDEVAC (ver AQUI )

A noite de Sábado para Domingo (de 14 para 15 de Novembro) foi a primeira do A320 da Everjets na sua casa-base: FNC Fica um registo dessa noite: OY-RUP, no Alpha 4  Ao lado, eram efectuados os últimos procedimentos nos outros 2 aparelhos que ficaram em night-stop, enquanto que na pista, já fechada ao tráfego, iniciava-se outra noite de trabalhos nas operações de reasfaltagem da pista... A319 CS-TTL, com uma quantidade algo impressionante de camiões e maquinaria na pista, ao fundo... CS-TTR com a azáfama habitual após a chegada...

O dia da estreia da British Airways (ver AQUI ) foi igualmente o primeiro dia do regresso à normalidade por parte da TAP , após a greve de 10 dias. Fica pois uma sequência de 3 fotos da descolagem do A319 CS-TTR  da pista 23, nesse dia

Looks like the Jetphotos screener made some speeding up on last days.. A lot of Madeira photos have been acepted, including 4 of mine, I had on queue... These 4 pics are (for me) nice entries because they all have a little bit of a diferent touch from my usual pics This one, of course, deserves the first mention as it managed to get (currently) to #3 no TOP pics of Last 24H, in Jetphotos. Finalmente, 3 semanas depois da estreia na Madeira, fui fotografar o Edelweiss, no seu voo semanal de Zurique. Já que ia, mais valia fazer a manhã toda, já que as idas ao aeroporto não têm sido assim tantas e mais vale rentabilizar a gasolina, ainda por cima, seria uma manhã interessante, com um par de aviões que já não apanhava há imenso tempo e o 330 da TAP... O primeiro da manhã (para mim...) foi o "French post" Já não apanhava um avião desta companhia há já bastante tempo... F-GFUF, B733 da Europe Airpost na final para a 05, com uma luz excelente. As cores até são engraçadas e bem melhores que os habituais eurowhite que enchem esses céus actualmente... G-EZBB, da Easyjet na final curta para a 05, a chegar de Lisboa CS-TOF, o A330 da TAP, efectuando o TP148 de Caracas. Apesar da boa visibilidade, não fez entrada directa, indo ao ABUSU iniciar a aproximação à 05 O Enter Air (SP-ENB) era outra das companhias que nunca mais tinha fotografado. Esteve...

Despite the week is almost ending, didn't wanted to leave it without electing this week's photo. Back to Aviation spotting, decided to go for a national...CS-TTR, TAP's A319 climbing out of runway 23.... Runway 23 take-offs are allways interesting to get and in this case, had the extra of beeing taken with my  Sigma 18-200OS lens that I was using to get the bath of the A319 from Germania, a lens that I don't usually select to action shots like these...

Yesterday afternoon noticed at the Madeira Airports traffic page a flight that wasn't there earlier: a XL Germany flight. Was arriving in the night but, with a couple of diferent liveries, was well worth to keep an eye on the registration and it really payed: it was D-AXLI, the Miami Air / XL Hybrid! Don't know if it has been here before but I never had got it... After dinner, the trip to the airport was really worth it. The most usual spotters were around, so it was also very nice for some chat during the spotting. Love those polished metal parts... ...and the fuselage is shining and also quite reflective. Notice the all fuselage, since the tail reflected on the inside of the engine? Ready for push-back (Funny name for the plane)... This one is probably my favorite, with the lights, the guys moving around and the bright shinning reflections on the fuselage... I know that this last one has some rather strange colors on the TAP's tail (the pic's over-exposed.....
