Sata Q200

Imagem

Sata no Porto Santo

Imagem

The first A318 at Madeira

Imagem
Sometimes, a spotter life is not an easy one... ;))
This A318 was a much expected plane as it's the first A318 at Madeira and it got me 2 days to get it....

First schedulled to arrive from Faro (LPFR) at 5pm of last wednesday the F#$%"... plane got delayed and only arrived here 4 or 5 hours later, when it was night already...so no pics of the arrival for anyone...

Not knowing when it's shedulled to depart, decided to go to the airport for some shots before it went away.
Still planes are not my kind of favortie photos but in this case, definitely better a still pic than no pic at all...

Let's see if I manage to get the departure....

Anyway, regarding winds, looks like it was a hard day for Condor pilots at Madeira...
More on this, next entry....

A couple more unpublished...

Imagem
Took the moment I was with my hand on last year pics on Porto Santo to share a couple more unpublished pics... This time for the most usual visitor of that island....the Sata Q200 that makes the route Madeira-Porto Santo-Madeira...

Privilege...at Porto Santo

Imagem
Today we had a charter flight from Madrid, by Privilege.
It's not an usual airline around here, still, didn't go for the arrival...not really fond on their livery and already caught it a few times at Porto Santo...

Planning on going to the airport during the afternoon, so I will probably be taking some pics of it on the apron...

Anyway, last time I caught a Privilege was in Porto Santo, during the Summer. They were making weekly charter flights from Porto and Lisbon, to that island.

That day, I had the unexpected oportunity for a special visit and spotting place... :))
(Thanks Pedro!)

Sata's Q200

Imagem
These last days, the news on the interest of Binter in the Madeira-Porto Santo line and the discussion on other airlines that could be interested make us think that photographing a plane is never enough...
You never know when it will be gone...

So, even if it's a plane that's around every day, it's worth shooting, you'll definitely get some new angles, every day...
Taking off from runway 23. An early take off on which it gained altitude very quickly...

Q200 on the late afternoon

Imagem
This time, didn't get many things at Porto Santo and wasn't also paying much atention to the unexpected traffic...
The best thing, regarding spotting was definitely the visit to Porto Santo Tower and this diferent shot I made on top of it.
There are many shots that I think that are worth sharing, but I'm not really on the mood for processing them right now...in time, I share them here... (no inside pics from the tower...not allowed)

Meanwhile I still have very few pics of the Sata's Q200 and none of them were at Porto Santo so, went a couple of times just to shoot the small bird.

On this day, left home with a very nice late afternoon sun, but by the time the plane arrived, clouds had already messed that up...
Still, really like the first shot...
On final to runway 36

Spotting at Porto Santo

Today (yesterday...Friday),
Made finally some spotting since I arrived to Porto Santo and it was really some nice couple of hours, which included a visit to Porto Santo Tower, together with Paulo Brito. Thanks a lot, Pedro!
The traffic wasn't much, a couple of trips from the Q200 from Sata and one flight from Privilege which wasn't far from a tail strike on the take-off....

Photos on this, soon....

Let's hope that tomorow the weather is better for the beach and all the fires at Madeira can be controlled...

Getting the rudder back

Imagem
A few days ago I wondered when would CS-TGL fly again?
Well, last Thursday, besides the interest of all the traffic that came to retrieve the passengers held by a few days of airspace closed due to the ashes, I had the luck to see the operation to mount the tail rudder back on CS-TGL.

Was told that it might leave tomorow to Ponta Delgada. If so, then these were the last pics I took of it, as tomorow I won't be going for sure to the airport....

Getting things ready behind the tail...

Meanwhile, just a few meters away, new generation of prop transportation was continuing the legacy of the old ATP...
