Planes and stuff

From the same day of TAP's Star Alliance (check HERE ), Condor's "borrowed" A320, from Bulgaria Air, LZ-FBG, taxiing for runway 05, for the return flight to Stuttgart waving from both pilots for the spotters...

Almost sure today was the first time we got a Bulgaria Air Embraer at Madeira (E190, LZ-BUR). So, despite the quite dark weather, a good reason for a trip to the airport for some shots on the plane arriving / departing from/to Sofia: Short final to runway 05 lining up on runway 05, for the departure...

Last saturday night (actually it was already sunday...) I was at S.Cruz so, took the oportunity to go to the airport for some night shots of some unsual traffic in night-stop. The catch I was after was this Bulgaria Air . This airline came to Madeira on a weekly basis but usualy it's only by day. This one made a special charter flight from Sofia just for the Madeira Flower Festival so it was the oportunity to get it on night-stop... LZ-FBC, the A320 from Bulgaria Air, in night-stop Not usual to see A320 engines covered at Madeira...anyway, easy to get the engine model.... This Bulgaria Air will depart tomorrow, back to Sofia at 5pm The other plane I wanted to get on this spotting seasson, PH-VBG, a Falcon 2000 form JetNetherlands...  And the bonus plane.... I'm pretty sure it's the first time I get a F100 from PGA (or any other company) on night-stop.... CS-TPE

On the same day that I photographed the famous fantastic Transavia Crew (already my most viewed post...), I also managed to get, for the first time, Bulgaria Air new colors. It doesn't look that diferent from the old one, but I guess it looks more refreshing and modern. The registration is the same that I had already caught before at Madeira ...(looks like it's the only plane they bring here....) runway in use: 23

This morning went for some spotting with the intention of getting the Bulgaria Air new livery and the Air Berlin 's A330... Well after all, the stars of the day were this fantastic pilots crew from Transavia ! Was in front of the Transavia taking some shots to PH-HZO, while they were waiting for the push-back clearance when I noticed that the pilots were interested in me.... Quit friendly, both the Captain.... and the F/O They were really amused inside the cockpit and after a moment noticed them again.... (LOL...would be hard not to notice....hehe!!!) After some side to side compliments and me asking for a take-off on the right spot all with gestures, the push-back clearance finally arrived... A final wave from the F/O before they taxi to runway 23... and a take-off right on the spot, as asked...LOL!! Yesterday, while checking the Airport's page , noticed that a Travel Service was coming in the morning. There are a few planes on the service of Travel Service that are really worth the trip to the airport so, this morning had the usual early wake and right after went checking the registration... At first, when I discovered the registration, it didn't rang any bell...didn't know that registration, so went to search some pics and then I realised that the OK-TVC that used to bear the amazing O2 special livery had changed its reg. to HA-LKE.... I only had caught that plane once, in some night shots that can be seen HERE And now, besides the new registration, the plane was also bearing the usual Travel Service logos, over the special livery...Great!! Hurried to the airport and as I had very litle time to be at the airport, decided to go for the Terminal Balcony. Would allow me more shots and with more warraties of not screwing the pics... It landed in runway 23... ...

Last Feb.19th we had new airline around. Can't assure it was the first time it came to Madeira but, at least I hadn't any record of it around here. Came from Helsinki and departed to Tallinn. Will post a few more pics of that day, later. For now, just the new Photo of the Week, dedicated to new stuff! Keep them coming....
