Despite beeing around for quite some years now, still haven't got many shots on the SAS "new" livery so, with a nice light and Brussels Amare Tomorrowland coming next, went to the airport for some shots, yesterday... A320NEO EI-SIL, arriving from Stockholm Taxiing to runway 05, for the return, with the apron already with almost full house  Departing, with Brussels Airlines special livery, taxiing to the stand....

Finally some sun for this one... Brussels Airlines brought A320 OO-SBB Tomorrowland livery for the the return to Madeira. The first flight of this return was carried by this special livery. Unfortunatelly, it was quite dark and rainy....managed some shots (HERE) but definitelyt, it shines a lot more with a sunny afternoon... Entering the stand, with Condor A320 D-AIAI from/to Dusseldorf and F-HTVV, from/to Nantes. A bit of an overview...

Finally, some shots on Brussels Airlines new livery. First time for me. A320 OO-SBC arriving on runway 05, from Brussels, yesterday afternoon. You can check all my Brussels Airlines shots HERE Smoke on, for the photo of the week... Didn't wait for the departure, as the light was getting worst and cloudy...

Photo of the Week: The return of Brussels Airlines

Imagem
After a few years, Brussels Airlines returned to Madeira and they choose quite a great livery for this return... Unfortunatelly, the weather was quite bad and got even worst durign the landing with a rainshower... Usually don't go photograph with that weather but was hoping for an improvement....it didnt... So, didn't even looked at the pics, until today (a couple of weeks later...). Decided to publish this one...doesn't beat a sunny great light shot but, could be a lot worst.... OO-SBB touchdown on 23, from Brussels...

Gone Brussels...

Imagem
Another pic that had been forgoten on the archives... From July 2018, Brussels Airlines A319 OO-SSG, arriving from Brussels. This airlines was another one that never returned to Madeira, after the Covid lock-up. It was taken while waiting for my plane, for some vacations...another thing gone, this year....

Photo of the Week: From Brussels, with wind

Imagem
Well...still hadn't published this week's photo so, went for the archives to search previously unpublished pics... Back from October, this year, on a windy day, the landing of Brussels Airlines on runway 23, with a bit of wind... A320 OO-TCQ... check the wind indicator....wind made some damage :)

The Belgian Eurowings

Imagem
Today we had, for the first time, a belgian registration plane making a Brussels Airlines flight with Eurowings livery...must admit I haven't read much on this to understand the full lenght of these changes but I guess that's what we should expect from now on: more and more Brussels Airlines medium-haul planes into Eurowings livery.... Despite de crappy weather, I had the time and beeing a first with a know captain on the left seat, went for a few shots... Anyway, dark as it was, didn't bothered to wait for any other planes...

Photo of the Week: Bruegel at Madeira

Imagem
My first pics on Brussels new special livery...Bruegel..and it looks great! Glad the sun was shining! On the left seat, the captain with more spotter fans around here :) Allways nice to see you around, specially on these kind of birds :) A great take off, from runway 23, back to Brussels We climbing to the cargo bay of a driving lesson truck due to the fence but as the plane was starting the take-off run, a driving instructor passed by and told us to get donw...though that the take-off was lost but still managed to get  another spot...it wasn't as high and as good but still...got the "job" done... Earlier...the arrival on runway 05, notice the wind indicator? A catch on the other side, which also looks really nice.

The Spanish Thomas Cook

Imagem
This summer season, Thomas Cook started using a Thomas Cook Balearic A320 for one of its flights from Germany to Madeira. It's definitely something diferent around here, a Thomas Cook with spanish registration :) EC-MTJ on final to runway 05 After getting it for the first time with the cell phone, while gettting out of my plane, now some "decent" shots of it :) entering the stand with one of the hilights of the day on the back, Brussels "Smurfs" special livery, for the first time at Madeira. Check HERE

Photo of the Week: First time for the Smurfs

Imagem
Last Friday we got, for the first time, Brussels Smurfs special livery. It looks really fantastic (as all the other Brussels special liveries, by the way....) Arriving from Brussels, around 17:25, it's a more interesting hour (light regarding) than the previous schedulle of sunday at the end of the morning... OO-SND The approach was windy and the touch down just a little bit longer than usual (for many of the planes, this day) Pushing back, with the other highlight of the day....Privilege B767 EC-LZO that came with on  charter flight on behalf of Acuna Fombona, for a medical conference at Madeira. The father smurf is the F/O and Smurfette is the Captain...in this case was about right, as the Captain was a woman and one of the nicest captains I've met ;)

New Photo of the Week: TinTin at Madeira

Imagem
Yesterday, Brussels Airlines brought us another of its special liveries. We got, for the first time, OO-SNB "Rackham" with the TinTin special livery and with the extra of beeing flown by a really nice captain :) The forecast was becoming a bit harsh (today is even worst) and some of the planes only managed to land on the second atempt, which also happened to this one as the ATC informed that the winds were out of limits during the first approach. A320 OO-SNB on final to runway 05 Taxi to the apron with the newest Madeira Airport Follow Me car...an eletric Renault Zoe Quite a colorful apron... After the landing we paid the captain a visit with a great welcoming on behalf the crew, despite all the work on preparing the next leg of the flight, to the Canary islands, before returning to Brussels getting ready to depart departure from runway 05, with a little bit of sun shining on Rackham...

Brussels Tomorrowland

Imagem
Last Sunday, Brussels Airlines brought us another of its flying artkworks :) Amare / Tomorrowland...and how beaultifull it is! A320 OO-SNF landing on runway 05, from Brussels detail on the amazing artwork... The push-back for the return flight. Too bad it wasn't parked on a stand in front of the balcony...

Magritte

Imagem
For the second time at Madeira, I still hadn't any pics of this fantastic Brussels Airlines special livery, regarding one of the main surreal belgian artists: René Magritte...so, despite the dark weather made a quick "jump" to the airport for some pics.... A320 OO-SNC landing on runway 05 detail on the engine #snmagritte
