Planes and stuff

Back to 2012, a shot I had completely forgot behind... It was on the day I first visited a Portuguese Air Force C-130 cockpit so...every other traffic got forgotten....(check the C-130 pics HERE ) TF-BBG, a Boeing 737-36E(BDSF) from Bluebird, the airline that, back then, made the daily cargo flights between Lisbon and Madeira.

Com a saída da West Air Sweden (West Air Europe) e dos seus ATP's dos voos de carga Lisboa-Madeira-Lisboa, decidi fazer uma pequena retrospectiva dos aparelhos/companhias que têm vindo a efectuar esta rota e que deverá ter um novo aparelho, com o regresso da Swiftair à linha... EC-KDJ da Flyant descolando da 23. Parelha da Flyant, EC-KDJ e EC-JUV A companhia espanhola acabaria por fechar no final desse ano (Dezembro 2008) Com umas cores bem mais interessantes (opinião pessoal) veio depois a igualmente espanhola Swiftair EC-KLR A Europe Airpost também marcou presença por cá na versão carga, além dos já habituais voos de passageiros (F-GIXR) Este aparelho da Saicus Air não esteve por cá muito tempo e apenas o apanhei uma vez quando saia da Região e o  EC-KDJ estava ali ao lado. Por curiosidade, este aparelho já tinha andado por cá, com as cores Flyant. EC-KRA da Swiftair, em versão frigorífico.... Entretanto a Agroar sempre utilizou um aparelho com...

Was reading some online news today, when I remembered that North-Americans celebrate its independence today... Congrats! It's a nice reason to share some pics of US Military Planes around here...(not usual visitors...) USCG C-130J 2005 together with an USAF KC-10 Extender ( 84-0186) 05-0730, a beautifull USAF C-40 (737) 40087, small Learjet from (C-21) from USAFE(urope), with TF-BBE, from Bluebird Cargo entering the apron and yet another pic of the KC-10 Stratotanker.... As far as I know it was the only time we got one of these around here... 2006, another C-130J from USCG that was here the same time the KC-10 and the 2005

This weekend's Top news were related with the accident of cruise ship Costa Concordia, in the Italian island of Giglio... An unfortunate event....still, on a ship with more than 4000 people, things could have been a lot worst (but should have been a lot better, with no accident at all...) Anyway, curiously, last week, the arrival that another cruise ship made to Madeira had called my attention due to the proximity to the land. Not usual to see cruise ships passing by so close to the airport....still, some nice pics... No...it's not the title of a joke... Today we had, for the first time (as far as I know) a Korean Air plane. Although it wasn't wearing full airline livery (was a BBJ) it's still one of the best catches of the Year... Arrived early in the morning, after a flight through the Atlantic, from Atlanta (ATL/KATL). on final to runway 05 with very nice golden light... HL8222 Taxi to Alpha 11 for a night-stop. Also on the apron, after a night stop there was 40087, a C-21 from USAFE (United States Air Force Europe) (with TF-BBE, from Bluebird Cargo arriving, on the back, from Lisbon, on the daily cargo flight to Agroar) The kind of pic you don't get accepted at Airliners.net or Jetphotos.net While waiting for the Korean, took some time to register the magnificent sunrise, behind Desertas

Bastante tempo depois do NAX ter recomeçado a voar para a Madeira, lá me decidi a ir fazer umas fotos e já que ia, mais valia ir um nadinha mais cedo para aproveitar o tráfego de final de manhã... Ao contrário do que costumo fazer, com entrada relativas cada tráfego, vou deixar um cheirinho de quase tudo o que apanhei (ainda tenho umas fotos noutro cartão que, por agora, não tive pachorra de tratar....) Para os 2 primeiros acabei por parar à descida para o cais de Santa Cruz, já que não dava tempo para mais... D-ABLF, um 737-700 entregue este ano na final curta para a 05 Ainda estava com esperanças que fosse a "Alicinha" (OO-TCN com a pintura especial "Alice in Wonderland"). Ainda não foi desta...OO-TCI, já sobre a pista 05 Uma com a Samyang 8mm e um spotter estrangeiro a aproveitar o tempo de espera... Visão rara por cá...2 Q400 da Sata Enquanto o CS-TRF se preparava para a ida ao Porto Santo, o CS-TRD chegava de Ponta Delgada Saída do CS-TR...

O voo de carga diário de/para Lisboa foi hoje efectuado por algo bem diferente: o Bluebird Cargo! Foi uma surpresa completa quando me apercebi que era esta beleza que vinha a fazer o voo de carga (nem sei se foi o primeiro dia...mas, suponho que sim...ou pelo menos nenhum dos spotters habituais se tinha apercebido dele ainda...) Apesar de ter assim um arzito de lata de Pepsi-Cola, é de longe bem mais interessante que a "branca de neve sul-africana" utilizado habitualmente pela Agroar... Tendo em conta que podia ser um voo único, tratei de conjugar as coisas e unir o útil ao agradável e fui apanhar a saída do voo para Lisboa. TF-BBE em rotação na 05  Nem tinha ligado o rádio, enquanto esperava pela descolagem do Bluebird e estava completamente distraído, quando me apercebi desta outra beleza na final curta para a 05.... mal tive tempo de ligar a máquina e dar 2 ou 3 disparos... Não é todos os dias que temos Embraer's por cá... OK-GGG (ERJ-135BJ Legacy ...
