Back to runway 23 pics, another take-off from the same day of the British Airways welcoming bath (check HERE ) F-GZHB pushing back to runway 23 Take-off, on the right spot... Monarch's A321 G-OZBZ getting ready to return to London - Gatwick

Austrian

Imagem
Not my favorite kind of shots but it's been quite a while since I last photographed an Austrian airplane so, decided to wait for its arrival, from Vienna: A321 OE-LBF "Wien" arriving at the stand..

Atrasos....dos passageiros...

Imagem

Hapag-Lloyd

Imagem
Back to April, a few shots of Tuifly's Hapag-Lloyd. It's allways nice to get these colors, for a change to the regular ones... These are from the same day Portuguese Air Force Sqn.502 brought its C-295 with 60th Aniversary special livery, for the first time. Check HERE Beacon mode on ;) D-ATUF landing on runway 05 Entering the stand, while at Transavia France B738 F-GZHJ, someone is beeing taken into the ambulance.

New Photo of the Week: Self-Service Contractors

Imagem
Last week, went for some shots on Air Contractors, that started flying to Madeira, from Dublin, three weeks ago. It was the first time I got it and noticed something that still hadn't caught my atention in other spotters pics, at Madeira: The front door had its own ladder.. Beeing a new airline at Madeira, caught by me for the first time and the curiosity of the ladder...well, New Photo of the Week: The only other time I saw this kind of ladder, here at Madeira, was back in 2005, on a Sterling (previously Maersk) plane: OY-MRG (Check HERE ) Landing on runway 05 Starting to deploy the ladder... getting the handrail in place

Aerovip

Imagem

Condor's B753

A couple of shots from April. Getting replaced by A321 Sharkleted, it's allways nice to get some Boeing B753 D-ABOM, taxiing to runway 23 Take-off

Treinos C-295 Força Aérea

Imagem

New Photo of the Week: Haribo Tropifrutti

Imagem
Tuifly is one of those airlines local spotters can trust it will bring its special liveries to Madeira, oposite to others... Last week, there it was, on its way from Basel, Switzerland, the newest Tuifly special livery, the amazing Haribo Tropifrutti (D-ATUJ) A big thumbs up to Tuifly ;) Definitly worth Photo of the Week title, if not for the quality of the pic, certainly for the livery of the plane... Landing on runway 05...let's hope Haribo/Tuifly partnership lasts for many years...it's been providing some great liveries entering the stand...unfortunately, couldn't wait for the departure...

Thomas Cook departure from 23

Imagem
A few more pics from 11th May, with runway 23 in use in the afternoon...great from some departure shots... The departure of Thomas Cook A319 OO-TCS on the right spot.... taxiing to runway 05, with Monarch's A321 G-OZBZ getting ready to return to London Gatwick Departure from 23 Too bad this area of the apron was already empy...a few more planes down there would look great

Sharklets, Scimitars e outras que tais...

Imagem

AirJetSul

A couple of shots of AirJetSul's Citation 650 CS-DGR, departure from Madeira, last week.

New Photo of the Week: British Airways: The return of the Union Jack colors

Imagem
Yesterday, we had the return of British Airways colors to Madeira, this time with the SpeedBird itself... After a stop of a few years (When GB Airways, that carried these flights, was bought by Easyjet), yesterday we got to see British Airways colors again at Madeira, with a first flight from London-Gatwick. A320 G-GATK about to enter the apron which was pretty colored with a variety of traffic Welcoming bath from Madeira Airport Fire Dept. Returning back to London-Gatwick, passing by Monarch A321 G-OZBZ that was redy for push-back, also for the return to Gatwick It carried some passengers back to London but it was a really early take-off, with Ponta de S.Lourenço in the back Curiously, at Funchal, was also P&O Cruise Ship "Britannia". Check HERE

British Airways at Madeira...tomorow

Imagem
Tomorow we'll have the begining of British Airways flights. Already miss seeing those colors around here...last time I saw those around here, the flights were beeing carried by GB Airways (later bought by Easyjet)... GB Airways A320 G-TTOG at Madeira (currently VP-BCU, on service with Yamal Airlines, since 2012)
