Air Berlin by OLT Express

Diferent liveries, even with the same colors are allways a good motiv for some pics.

Last Thursday morning, the Portuguese Air Force EH-101 and the D-ABDB, with the OLT Express livery were motivs interesting enough for a trip to the airport...

Despite the great weather in Funchal and until the GELO area, the airport had dark and rainy weather...


entering final to runway 05 with some nice sun on the plane and in the back landscape...

while at the airport, it was raining....

The departure was made already under some sun....
That's Madeira weather...

Flying over Porto Santo

These were on the "bucket" since last November.... They were taken on the day of the activation of AM3 during a couple of passes over Porto Santo, for some aerial shots of military LPPS (AM3) and...of course, the rest of the island. Indeed a fantastic oportunity given by the Air Force to be present at such an event and my baptism on the new C-295, after beeing already "baptized" on the C-130 and the C-212 (next stop...the EH-101..LOL) The island is rather small and this is pretty much everything in one shot.... Approaching the beach (with around 9Km of fantastic golden sand...) The bubbled window provided some great views and quite a diferent framing...looks like you're outside the plane... EH-101: Resgate na Madeira

13 de outubro de 2024 O helicóptero EH-101 Merlin, da Força Aérea, em destacamento permanente na Madeira, foi ativado hoje dia 13 de outubro para uma missão de resgate de duas pessoas que se encontravam presas na praia do Seixal, Madeira. Após ter sido ativada, a tripulação de alerta da Esquadra 751 - “Pumas” no Aeródromo de Manobra N.º 3, no Porto Santo, descolou até à zona de operações pelas 09h05 desta manhã. Ao chegarem ao local, as vítimas foram recuperadas com sucesso e transportadas para o Aeroporto da Madeira, onde foram transferidas por uma ambulância que os aguardava no local para uma unidade hospitalar.  A Força Aérea reafirma uma vez mais o seu compromisso com Portugal e com os Portugueses, cobrindo todo território nacional, sempre prontos a intervir onde e quando necessário. Combate a incêndio
