Planes and stuff

Alguns registos do C-130 16801 na Madeira, após passagem pelo Porto Santo, no passado dia 20. Chegada pela 05: Algum tempo depois, veio a ter a companhia do EH-101 19607, que chegou igualmente do Porto Santo como Medic 25, numa missão de Evacuação Médica a partir daquela ilha. Mais fotos do Medic 25 AQUI O "C" acabaria por ficar em night-stop pela Madeira, partindo no dia seguinte.

Um par de cliques à chegada do C-130 16801, do Porto Santo. Acabou por chegar um pouco mais cedo do que eu estava à espera e na sequencia de um Wizzair...as chegadas pela 23 são sempre mais sequênciais e expeditas....acabei por só ter tempo para parar, sacar da máquina e fazer 3 cliques...por sorte a máquina estava com uns settings adequados... A partida para o continente acabou por ficar aquém, para mim, já que o spot que escolhi não foi o mais adequado ao tipo de descolagem....mais longa e baixa...paciência... Só por curiosidade, as 80K horas de voo da frota, assinaladas na cauda do aparelho, foram atingidas já em Setembro de 2019, pelo que agora devem ter mais umas quantas horas em cima, mesmo tendo em conta os processos de modernização que têm sido alvo e respectivos períodos de paragem, bem como o início de operações da Esquadra 506, com o KC-390

It's allways nice to get Tuifly D-ATUZ, with the RIU Hotels special livery. In this case, double luck...was one of those days, when the wind causes real problems at LPMA...during the afternoon a lot of planes had trouble landing and diverted or went to holding. Just after I arrived, the Tuifly got the clearance to land....and right after the landing, the winds went out of limits again for at least one more hour....so, a quick stop that really payed for getting this one...

 Já nos seus 81 anos, a TAP Air Portugal continua a ostentar os títulos dos 75 anos no seu A339 CS-TUD. Acaba por ser bom pois apenas muito recentemente lhe fiz as primeiras fotos e cai sempre bem a oportunidade de fazer mais umas como estas, de ontem... Chegada, ao final da tarde, de Lisboa, numa aproximação com alguma oscilação e avisos de probabilidade de windshear... Na final para a 05

Finally some inflight shots of WizzAir A321NEO 9H-WNM Fly the Greenest livery... Already got it twice but only taxiing into the stand...definitely not my fav kind of photo... On final to runway 05, from Katowice

 Air Baltic A220 YL-ABX, special livery, arriving at runway 05, from Riga. Despite beeing one of the most beautifull liveries around, it's the only one they have brought to Madeira so, for a change they should try to bring another one...pretty sure they would get a lot more attention and marketing feedback...

Today I got, for the first time, Wizzair's special 250th livery, arriving from Budapest. Got it...next time, will try to improve it...  

On the same day of RAF's A400 (check HERE ), also made my first shots on another 400th Delivered almost 2 years ago (March 2024), and with a few landings at Madeira, only last Feb.6th I made my first shots on Easyjet's 400th Airbus livery, A321NEO OE-ISH. Arriving on runway 05, from Berlin

Today german carrier Lufthansa celebrates its 100th Aniversary! Congratulations! Despite having a few Lufthansa Group airlines flying to Madeira, currently the main one does not. Still, a photo, a photo of retro livery A321 D-AIDV receiving the water salute at Madeira, on the day of its return to our skyes, back in 2016... More on that day, HERE

 Still the only Transavia A321 I photographed, and also the first time on this spot . Just a lucky catch, after a personal matter at Santa Cruz, made a quick stop at the airport to check the apron...something was on the downwind with some nice light on the runway so, decided to make some shots... Transavia retro A321NEO PH-YHD, arriving from Amsterdam... :) Love the smoke on this one but decided for the general cleaner look of the first shot, for the photo of the week...

 Depois de um par de dias de mau tempo e ventos fora do limite, causados pela depressão "Emília", em que prativamente não aterraram voos em FNC, na segunda-feira, a TAP trouxe 3 A330s, 2 deles de manhã (um A332, CS-TOO e um A339, o CS-TUD) Com os títulos referentes aos 75 anos da companhia, foi a primeira vez que tive oportunidade de fazer umas fotos ao aparelho, 5 anos depois...no ano em que a companhia completou o 80º Aniversário....mais vale tarde... :) A chegar de Lisboa, pela 23...

After 2 days with basically no traffic due to Emilia storm and crossed winds at Madeira airport, today the traffic returned to normality today and with some interesting stuff... WizzAir Fly the Greenest livery A31NEO 9H-WNM arriving at the stand, from Warsaw

  After some waiting time, we finally got at Madeira, the Condor Eintracht Frankfurt special livery. A320 D-ASGE, arriving from Munich, on runway 05. After rotation, departed to Frankfurt. Curiously, it's a plane with an already long carreer, with the first flight in 2010, going to Air Berlin, Air Corsica, Vueling, Condor as D-AICR and now as D-ASGE but never had managed to make any photos of it.  

This week Condor said good-bye to its Boeing 757 with a special farewell flight carried by D-ABOM between FRA-VIE-FRA. Condor's B753 were quite an interesting sight around Madeira, for many years...so this deserves a special post with some photos taken over the years... D-ABOB D-ABOM, more HERE D-ABOE, the only 757 cockpit I ever went. 20 years ago, hope everything is running smooth with Capt. Eric Altendorf. Still one of the best welcomes I had. D-ABOI, more HERE D-ABOJ, more HERE Willi, D-ABON, more HERE D-ABOC, more HERE D-ABOA These were really special planes and definitely will be missed around here.

  Willi, Condor's B753 speciall livery made its last flight today... Has been quite a while since I last saw a company Boeing 757-300 (and even more the D-ABON, Willi) around here but definitely, will be missed... More pics of D-ABON, HERE

Not much of a special livery...just some thin titles but still, worth noticing...not sure if it's worth the price... Back to last month, as Ryanair B737 EI-EVX was entering the apron, after a runwy 23 landing, from Porto, noticed the Visitazores.com titles.... A lot of heat haze, some lens blur and really nothing special but still a first catch... Oh...also first time I get this registration...(yeah..I know...not much of a thrill....)

Finally some shots on the Transavia retro livery. It already came a few times to Madeira but yesterday was the first time I finally managed to get it. Also my first Transavia A321...(once again, a few already came to Madeira) PH-YHD departing from runway 23, back to Amsterdam The arrival, was also on runway 23 with a nice light but the apron was full of planes... And off it goes, back to AMS with Madeira mountains in the back... It was a nice morning, with a few catches that are regular here but I had never got (or hadn't got this year, like the Iberia)....

 A shot on the departure of Tuifly's 50th Aniversary special livery at Madeira, yesterday. The arrival must have been interesting, with a go-around before landing on second atempt but, unfortunatelly couldn't be there for the arrival... Departing from runway 05 to Hannover (arrived from Dusseldorf):

 For the second week on a row, we got Brussels Airlines Amare Tomorrowland special livery, on the weekly flight, from Brussels so, as the runway in use was the same (05), made a little change of spot... ...and beacon.. :)  a composed apron...with SAS EI-SIL holding short off ruway (check HERE )
