Planes and stuff

Hoje os spotters nacionais andaram em polvorosa, com as primeiras fotos ao futuro A339 CS-TUT, ainda em construção mas cuja cauda, ainda apenas parcialmente pintada, já deixa antever uma nova pintura retro, com as cores utilizadas nos anos 80, 90 e inícios de 2000... Uma boa altura para recordar esta pintura, com um registo do A319 CS-TTA, obtida aqui na Madeira, em Agosto de 2005. Este aparelho foi armazenado em Dezembro de 2019 e sucateado em Março de 2020, facto que torna a foto ainda mais significativa...

Today german carrier Lufthansa celebrates its 100th Aniversary! Congratulations! Despite having a few Lufthansa Group airlines flying to Madeira, currently the main one does not. Still, a photo, a photo of retro livery A321 D-AIDV receiving the water salute at Madeira, on the day of its return to our skyes, back in 2016... More on that day, HERE

 Still the only Transavia A321 I photographed, and also the first time on this spot . Just a lucky catch, after a personal matter at Santa Cruz, made a quick stop at the airport to check the apron...something was on the downwind with some nice light on the runway so, decided to make some shots... Transavia retro A321NEO PH-YHD, arriving from Amsterdam... :) Love the smoke on this one but decided for the general cleaner look of the first shot, for the photo of the week...

Finally some shots on the Transavia retro livery. It already came a few times to Madeira but yesterday was the first time I finally managed to get it. Also my first Transavia A321...(once again, a few already came to Madeira) PH-YHD departing from runway 23, back to Amsterdam The arrival, was also on runway 23 with a nice light but the apron was full of planes... And off it goes, back to AMS with Madeira mountains in the back... It was a nice morning, with a few catches that are regular here but I had never got (or hadn't got this year, like the Iberia)....

A exemplo da passada foto da semana, mais uma pintura especial da TAP que nunca mais tinha visto... o A321NEO CS-TJR retro...a chegar de Lisboa, ontem, ao final da tarde... Uma escolha ainda com maior significado, considerando que se assinala hoje o aniversário do Aeroporto da Madeira, inaugurado em 1964, com a aterragem de um Super Constellation da TAP (CS-TLC) - Foto AQUI Uma placa bem composta....  

From a couple of weeks ago (on the same day of British Airways new special livery first visit...G-TTNA, check HERE ) a few shots on the departure of TAROM's retro plane, B737 YR-BGG. Eastern Europe's tourism has been growing, lately...Enter Air B737 MAX8 SP-EXA, departing on the back, from runway 05 to Warsaw... Meanwhile, there was a change of runway and TAROM, initially heading to 05, backtracked to runway 23...a lot more interesting for the take-off shots....

Today we got, for the first time, TAROM B737 YR-BGG, with the retro "Happy 66 years" livery. Here, arriving from Bucarest, it really deserved a better meteo...unfortunatelly, not happy at all with the shots I made but it is said that is better to have a bad shot than no shot at all.... until a better oportunity, the bad shot will rule one...

Uma sequência  do retro TAP, o A321NEO CS-TJR, na final curta para a 05, a chegar de Lisboa. Presença bem habitual por cá, há já uns tempos que não ia ao aeroporto de propósito para este avião mas, com uma manhã de sol e não tendo ainda feito nenhuma foto deste spot, lá segui para Santa Cruz, sempre à espera de que, ao contrário do Funchal, estivesse forrado no Aeroporto, como tantas vezes acontece, especialmente ao início da manhã...tive sorte, não estava...

O retro da TAP (A321NEO CS-TJR) continua a ser o aparelho que mais anda por cá actualmente mas, apesar de já não ir a correr para o aeroporto, de propósito para umas fotos, vale sempre a pena fazer uns cliques, se estivermos por lá, mesmo que para isso, esperemos 10 ou 15 minutos... Uns registos à chegada de Lisboa, num dia em que cá esteve 2 vezes... Já cá não estão os A321NEO LR em storage, ficando agora naquela posição o A320 CS-TNL , também em storage (juntamente com o CS- TNT , no A03)

 Depois de uns tempos em que a novidade (e beleza do avião) incentivou uma série de viagens ao aeroporto apenas para apanhar o retro da TAP (incluindo um despertar bem madrugador), nos últimos tempos, apesar das voos frequentes para a região, já tem passado mais despercebido, mas, uma vez que estava por cá um spotter da ilha vizinha, que ainda não o tinha apanhado, lá fomos para mais uns cliques a um aparelho que, diga-se, nunca cansa verdadeiramente... A321NEO CS-TJR a chegar de Lisboa... Por estes dias, ao fim de semana, este voo chega de Lisboa antes do almoço (11:45), ficando o aparelho no stand para o regresso pelas 19:00...

 After some night-shots of TAP's A321NEO retro, CS-TJR...a few ones during the day, The first ones I take on runway 23... Já não é a primeira vez que o novo retro da TAP, o A321NEO CS-TJR fica em night-stop na Madeira mas, com o actual recolher obrigatório e uma dose de sono/preguiça, ainda não tinha ido ao aeroporto para fazer umas fotos noturnas ao aparelho, coisa bem interessante com esta pintura... De terça para quarta, o retro fez mais um night-stop por cá e decidi que era mesmo na quarta de manhã que me levantava antes das galinhas para ir ao aeroporto fazer uns registos na altura da sua saída, aquando do primeiro voo do dia para Lisboa, pelas 06:40... Não desiludiu....esta pintura fica mesmo fantástica de dia e à noite também....  

A strange year, 2020 hadn't many moments worth highlighting, at Madeira Airport... Still, there were a few... On January got my last shots on a Norwegian Air Shuttle (and most probably the last ones ever...) (Check HERE ) On February, Great Dane made its first flight to Madeira, with the Embraer 195LR OY-GDA (check HERE ): Also on February another highlight from Denmark...Danish Air Force C-130 with United Nations titles. (Check HERE ) On March, Eurowings provided us a couple of nice catches... A320 D-ABDQ with the Europa Park livery (check HERE ) and D-ABDU, with the Hertz livery (check HERE ): This summer, the firefighting helicopter was a Wucher Helicopter one... Check HERE On October, Luxair brought us, for the first time, its special livery on LX-LGU (check HERE ) On December, a couple of highlights... TAP brought us, for the first time, its new retro livery plane, A321NEO CS-TJR. Check HERE The other (and one of the highlights of the year) was Wizz Air first flight to Madeira...

Ontem tivemos, na Madeira, a estreia do novo retro da TAP, o A321NEO CS-TJR. LINDO!! Quando surgiu a primeira pintura retro, no A330, "resmunguei" por duas razões...achava que a pintura ficaria melhor num A321 e sendo um A330, andaria menos por cá, se é que chegaria a vir....sempre veio cá (ver  AQUI ) mas, decididamente, prefiro ver esta pintura num A321... Num voo de Lisboa, com chegada pelas 16:00, teve a meteo a ajudar, já que inicialmente a pista em uso era a 23, onde estava mais escuro mas, depois acabou mudando para a 05, onde batia um solzinho.... O push-back foi feito já com aquela luz a puxar para o dourado, de final de tarde, com um par "irmãos", que se encontram armazenados por cá há já algum tempo...os A320 CS-TNM e CS-TNW Taxi para a 05 E...ao contrário do que costumo fazer nestas ocasiões, "inventei" um bocado, com um panning 1/30 da saída....podia ter ficado pior (mas também foi a única que se aproveitou...)
