Planes and stuff

Finally made some shots on the CR7 current jet: LX-GOL, a stunning Bombardier Global Express XRS, operated by Global Jet Luxembourg. This plane has been here for a few times but never did manage to make some shots of it. Opposite to its previous plane, this one is really nice and, like I said, with a stunning livery that looks great with this kind of light. Don't really know if he came or the plane just came to get his family but, don't really care...the plane was the aim. Check Arrived yesterday from Madrid and should depart tonight.

 Was just browsing some pics from September 2025, after publishing the Wizzair 9H-WDP shots ( HERE ) and got a better look on this shot that was just meant to archive on the bizjet and specially on Follow Me Ford Ka car that I hadn't seen in a long time and only now noticed that there were there also a group of packaged new Airport Signs ... Probably they've already installed it...

Another nice bird I got in Corfu was Gestair's Pilatus 24 (rare at Madeira), EC-NRA... Lining up on runway 34   Curiously, got, back in 2021 at Madeira, another Gestair rare bird (here, at least), with an amazing livery...a flying "Vespa",  Piaggio P-180 EC-LPJ ( HERE )

 Uns registos de ontem, ao final da tarde, com os últimos raios de sol, relativos à chegada do YL-BGS, o 737-300 da Klasjet, que transportou o Sporting desde Beja, até à Madeira, para o jogo da I Liga Portuguesa de Futebol, com o C.D.Nacional, hoje. Com os spotters na expectativa sobre um eventual atraso, que faria com que o aparelho chegasse já depois do sol desaparecer atrás das montanhas de Gaula, desta vez tivemos sorte e acabou chegando com os últimos raios de sol... Chegada ao stand, com o também recém-chegado Ryanair EI-ILD, um Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 Curiosamente, 2 B737 que representam anos de distancia em termos de tecnologia mas também em termos de conceito de transporte aéreo... Curiosamente, no momento em que publico isto (intervalo do jogo CD Nacional - Sporting), o Nacional ganha por 1-0....a ver como envelhece este resultado, na segunda parte :)

9H-THB, Air Vitosha Learjet 31A arriving at Madeira's 23, from Malaga, Spain, for a stop, before proceeding to Marrakech. I guess Madeira landings are allways a must for every crew....F/O was filming the all final and landing with his cell phone...

 Alguns registos da excelente saída do C-295 16706 "Medic26" da Madeira, de regresso ao Porto Santo, após Evacuação Médic, sempre em low-level, prosseguindo junto à costa leste da Madeira, antes de continuar para o AM3 - Porto Santo (alguém deve ter feito uma filmagem interessante, a partir da janela de bolha... :)  ) Iniciando o taxi, com o privado 9H-MGM, um Cessna 560XL Citation, da Air Charter Scotland Europe, que também partiria, pouco depois, para o Porto Santo.

Smartwings Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign+ OK-JRT on a night-stop at Madeira... Was expecting to get Portuguese Air Force Falcon 50 17401 on a Medical Evacuation, from Porto Santo but it went for a stand far from the balcony...

This morning went for TAP A339 CS-TUI and as I was there, waited for the landing of Global 7500 Global Jet Luxembourg LX-PAK, arriving from Lisbon. Looks like the passengers (or at least one of them) was considered quite an important piece of people, with some photographers, police near the plane, airport exit and along the expressway to Funchal and "black cars" with drivers waiting... Update on the passengers... It was Prince Aga Khan IV, that came for a Madeira Classical Orchestra concert.

Today we got a Qatar Executive Gulfstream G650ER at Madeira. Pretty sure it was the first time we got Qatar "colors" here... A7-CGC made a technical stop for refueling. Despite the sunny day at Funchal, the weather at Santa Cruz (the airport) was quite wintery with rain, wind and cold... Due to out of limits wind it had to abort the first approach and went by Porto Santo, for some sighseeing, before returning for landing, with the winds already in limits (but still with a nice banking on short final...) With that kind of weather, didn't wait for the departure...

 After some flights and trainings at Madeira, finally got, for the first time, a Luftwaffe Bombardier BD-700 Global Express (14+07) Not the best meteo but, it's on the bucket...can always (maybe...) improve later.... Arriving from Spain, on runway 23, after a first training missed approach (quite far from from the airport)... Couldn't manage to wait for the departure....

Haven't got many of these, specially with portuguese registration... CS-ESS, Executive Jet Management Europe Bombardier BD-700-2A12 Global 7500 for a night-stop at Madeira.

Ontem, tivemos o regresso do Diamond 62 do Controlo de Pescas da UE, vindo dos Açores (Lajes) Lá fui tentar mais umas fotos, desta feita, com a 23 em uso... Antes, ainda tivemos a chegada de um Learjet 45 do Luxembourg Air Ambulance, vindo de Faro para um embarque e partida pouco depois para Valladolid LX-RSQ a chegar de Faro 9H-DGN, a chegar das Lajes...as fotos acabaram por não ficar grande "pistola"... Saída do Learjet para Valladolid, da 23, com uma descolagem extremamente curta....

A rare visitor at Madeira, Nigerian Air Force Dassault Falcon 7X 5N-FGU on a technical stop for refueling, on its way from Abuja Airport (Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport), to New York - JFK Been quite a lot since I last went for some night-shots. Went with another spotting mate, wich is allways nice. One has to enjoy these little pleasures and value them...
