Planes and stuff

 It's been a while since I last got a Vueling... This didn't turned out too bad, with a Vueling A320 holding short of runway while we were landing on London Gatwick, with the sun on the right spot

Alitalia A320 EI-IKL pushing back with a Vueling A320 departing, on the back As usual, the only spotting I make outside is on arrival or while waiting for my flight...sorry the hard-core spottters but, so much to see and do when out of this small island...planes aren't really my priority when on vacation... Despite the huge amount of traffic, Vueling really stands out at El Prat for the quantity... Had my eye on a LATAM A350 ready for push-back but really wanted to get this Alitalia A320...got lucky enough to get it with a Vueling just airborn on the back....

It's allways nice to see a full (or almost) with some variety of planes and airlines... I guess mondays are still the days of the week with most traffic at Madeira and if the variety of types isn't that much (Airbus medium haul rulling..)  the mix of tails isn't that bad (as for the fuselages, white is winning for a long distance) The Lufthansa plane is not a regular on mondays..the 2 weekly flights are made on Saturdays but due to the Leslie storm, those flights were changed to monday.

From August a sequence on the first Vueling at Porto Santo. A320 EC-MAH was coming from Barcelona to Madeira but due to the winds out of limits, had to divert to the neighbour island. landing on runway 36 taxiing to the apron joining the TAP (A319 CS-TTI) and Binter (ATR-72 EC-LAD) that were already there

Por hoje ficam 3 registos, do mês passado, no Porto Santo, de 3 dos aparelhos que divergiram para aquela ilha, devido aos ventos acima dos limites na Madeira. TAP A319 CS-TTI Binter ATR-72 EC-LAD, que faria a ligação Porto Santo - Madeira... Acabou por ser a primeira vez que ficou em nigh-stop na ilha Dourada ver AQUI A320 EC-MAH da Vueling a taxiar para o stand...acabaria por regressar a Barcelona, algum tempo depois... Segundo os spotters locais, foi a primeira vez que tiveram um Vueling pelo Porto Santo. Consegui fazer uns registos da aterragem...logo os partilho, daqui a uns dias...  Ainda apareceu pelo Porto Santo um CRJ da Air Nostrum mas, acabaria por não o apanhar, já que acabaria por regressar a Madrid...

Last Saturday Vueling brought (as far as I know) the second special livery to Madeira, since its flying here... Never managed to get the first one, a few years ago so, didn't want to miss this one. Despite the sun at Funchal, the weather at Santa Cruz (on the airport) was quite crappy and dark...but you know what they say...better to have a bad pic than no pic at all... Anyway...the first Vueling of the year, for me.... A320 EC-MYC with the Disneyland Paris 25th Aniversary / Superheroes Marvel landing on runway 23

Vueling only flies to Madeira during the summer. This year ended up getting it one single time while waiting to board into my flight...it was a lucky catch of an early take-off from runway 23, back to Barcelona... A320 EC-MAI, with sharklets...could be worst...

Depois de um interregno, fica um registo de um Vueling em Lisboa com duas curiosidades.... Apesar de estar a voar para a Madeira durante a época de Verão, ainda não apanhei nenhum Vueling por cá.... :) A outra prende-se com o B738 da NEOS parqueado ao fundo, segundo parece com problemas técnicos, o que acabaria por motivar a vinda de um A340 da Air Plus Ultra ao Porto Santo, para efectuar um voo NEOS EC-HHA finalizando o push-back.

EC-MAH aterrando na pista 23, no Verão passado O Verão 2016 verá a Vueling regressar à Madeira, após a estreia da companhia espanhola entre nós, no Verão passado. Este ano, os voos deverão começar já em Março, com voos especiais de Páscoa, numa operação que deverá estender-se até Outubro. Podem saber mais sobre esta operação AQUI

Yesterday we got Vueling's second flight. Arriving at late afternoon, with a sharkleted A320 and with runway 23 in use, decided to go to the airport to see if I would have any luck with the light and pics.... For me, it was pretty worth it...hope you like it too... EC-MAH arrivinf from Barcelona, on runway 23, with Ponta de S.Lourenço in the back  A lucky beacon / smoke shot... On the apron, together with TAP's A319 CS-TTF pushing back to runway 23...TAP's CS-TTF had just took off from runway 05 so, we were unsure where to go for the take-off of the Vueling....glad we stayed... taxiing, through taxiway Bravo still on taxiway Bravo. This area used to be the treshold of old runway 24, before the runway had its lenght extended, for the last time. Early take off..... ...with Ponta de S. Lourenço once more...

Today, spanish carrier Vueling made its first flight to Madeira. Arriving early in the morning, from Barcelona, there was a fantastic golden light to receive it, landing on runway 05 A320 EC-JFF  As ususal with new airlines, it was received with a water canon salute....  and the passengers were offered with flowers and Madeira Wine....  A couple of "family pics" with the crew and local staff...  Push-back to runway 05, for the departure back to Barcelona
