Condor on 23

Former Niki OE-LNZ at Madeira, now with Condor colors, since May 2018, and registered as D-ATCE landing on runway 23.
Allways nice to get these landing with that background...

and a lucky shot with the beacons just before shutdown...

meanwhile, the runway changed for the departure, which was made from runway 05...

departing back to Dusseldorf with a couple of Tuifly B738 (D-ATYA and D-AHLK) and an Easyjet Swiss A320 HB-JZY

Regular Tuifly

Tuifly is probably the airline (together with Brussels Airlines) that brings more special liveries to Madeira.
One is used to run to the airport for the special liveries but, it's allways nice to get some of the regulars, specially on a good light...

Back to January, the main purpose of the spotting seasson of this day was getting Eurowings first special livery at Madeira, D-AIZR with the Borussia Dortmund livery (check HERE) and other traffic like this Tuifly B738 was forgoten...

(actually, first time I got the Robinson flying at all....)

Still with Tui older colors, this B738 deserved a second look as its registration wasn't familiar to me...
After a more carefull look, noticed some signs that looked familiar...

It was former SE-RFU.
According to Airfleets, it's been at Tuifly since May 2017...

Hell..that's a long time...Hadn't noticed this change before...have to start getting some more Tuifly's, even with the boring blue :)

Tuifly by Eurowings

Despite the flights made by Eurowings to Madeira last winter, this was one of the few times I managed to see a plane with Eurowings titles at Madeira. :)
Performing a Tuifly flight, early in the morning, was with some kind of problem (check the 2 guys on the nose gear bay)...
Was told it needed some mechanical intervention....

Despite not beeing exactly the Hapag-Lloyd livery I remember seeing back in the 90's and early 2000's, it's still nice to see this Tuifly with the Hapag-Lloyd titles...

From the same day of the Royal Navy Merlin's (Check HERE), the arrival of Tuifly's D-ATUZ, with the RIU Hotels special livery...it still wasn't the day for a nice sunny landing...

The last Niki

From last December, 9th 2017..
the last Niki flight I managed to photograph...I guess it really reflects the kind of messy bussiness relations around those german airlines...Niki flight, with an Air Berlin livery plane, operated by Tuifly....4 days later, Niki annouced its shutdown...

You know you're getting lazy on the pics when you realise you are about to delete a card with the pics of a one time catch and still haven't copied them to you HDD....almost one month later...

Still, managed to save them...
Tui Nederlands (Arke) made some flights to Madeira using Sunwing hybrid planes. Already had caught C-FTOH (check HERE) but after spotting C-GOWG over Amsterdam (high on the sky) they finally brought it to Madeira at least a couple of times...got it once...

Early wake for the Antonov

A couple of days ago, Tuifly's B738 D-ATUH (special livery Mein CEWE) suffered a bird strike on landing which damaged the nose.
The replacement part had to be brought from Hannover by an An-12, which is allways a great (and rare) sight...
Inicially schedulled to arrive in the middle of the night, ended up arriving a little bit  before sunrise which allowed me to make a quick run for some shots before heading to work.

Today we got a couple of special liveries, in the afternoon that I still haven't got, one of them for the first time here...
Unfortunatelly, no oportunity for getting those...let's hope for better luck next time...

In a time when the Tui groups gets more and more homogeneous (aka...boring...) Tuifly is still standing out as the group airline with some variety of liveries and special logojets...
These were taken on the same day just within an hour...

Hannover Airport...at Madeira Airport

Last Sep.29th 2016 was a day of small firsts...

After getting, for the first time, EI-STA with the new ASL livery (check HERE), and TAP's CS-TTU with the airline's 70th aniversary sticker (check HERE), got Condor's B753 D-ABOC with the Hannover Airport sticker, also for the first time...
Didn't manage to get the arrival so, a few pics of the departure....
