Foto da semana: Swiss A220

Imagem

Swiss A220 grounded...

Ooops...looks like the A220 engines are getting the type into trouble.... Check more on that HERE  (Reuters news) HB-JCC at Zurich, last year...

Germania Flug rebranding

Imagem
Looks like Germania Flug (Swiss) has been rebranded as CHAir Airlines and the first of its planes (former Germania Flug A319 HB-JOH) has been painted with the new livery, which looks really nice...simple but nice (check HERE ) Germania Flug usually flies to Madeira on some times of the year, hope I can see it here soon... For the memory, a pic from last year of HB-JOH I hadn't published yet, at its home airport, Zurich Kloten, with Swiss A330 HB-JHG on the back...

TAP em Zurique

Por hoje fica um registo de um TAP por terras Helvéticas, como se nota facilmente pelo tráfego e bandeira ao fundo :) TAP A321 CS-TJE chegando ao stand, em Zurique (LSZH / ZRH)

C Seri....err... Airbus A220-300

Another shot from Zurich with another of the former C Series, from Swiss. The now Airbus A220-300 HB-JCH taxiing to the runway with a couple of the more comon airlines here on the back, Edelweiss and Swiss

The New Airbus...

I'm one of the guys that found it real strange to start calling the Bombardier C Series: Airbus A220... Anyway, call it whatever you want...the plane is (in my opinion) a real beauty and definitely one of the better looking airliner you can see flying currently... Despite having seen it around previously, only this summer, after the renaming to Airbus A220 did I have the oportunity for some decent shots.... A220-300 HB-JCC taxiign to the gate, with bigger brother A330 HB-JHG, on the back, in Zurich Those engines look great :) The cockpit windows also look great...

Star Alliance by Swiss

Imagem
Swiss A320 HB-IJM getting ready for the departure.... Lot's of Swiss International Airlines planes at Zurich (who would have guessed?... :P  ) so, decided to sart with a "diferent" one... Unfortunatelly, didn't get any special livery while there so, the next best thing (yeah, right...) .... a Star Alliance livery plane. Taken from the terminal, while getting ready for the departure....

The previous post about the Do.328 reminded me of another plane that looks rather similar to the Dornier. It was a plane I wanted to photograph or even just see live for a long time. This Summer, had the oportunity to see and photograph 2 of them at once...the Jumbolino (Bae146) The photo was taken trough the terminal window at distance with a small Ixus, so no quality winning prizes, but it's well worth for the entry on the colection. Curiously the one in front is from Brussels Airlines, and for that, this post has to be dedicated to Capt. João Vidal that seated on the left seat of those planes in that airline for quite a few years. It was also in one of those planes that he completed the 20.000 flight hours ...quite a mark!
