Planes and stuff

More than ever, aviation is a global business :) This is specially visible during summer season, when airlines try to get planes wherever they are to answer the high levels of demand... From last week, a plane that really meets the "Global Inc." spirit, with a great looking mix :) An hybrid, still with the livery of Libyan Afriqiyah Airways, with Small Planet titles, Lithuania registration, leased to a german airline (Condor)... A320 LY-ONJ on short final to runway 05, with a shy sun, hiting the right spot, on the plane...

Ainda este fim-de-semana surgiu a temática da fraca implementação da mais recente companhia baseada na Madeira, a Everjets e suas perspectivas futuras, pelo que decidi-me por uma foto da semana relembrando outro projecto de companhia / broker / etc.... (nunca cheguei a perceber exactamente o que era....e penso que muitas outras pessoas também não...) que baseou aqui na Madeira não há muito tempo e que teve um percurso efémero... Esperemos que o projecto da Everjets tenha mais sucesso... A320 SP-ADK com cores Windavia na final para a 05, em 2014. Avião da polaca Small Planet, operada pela portuguesa White, com as cores Windavia.......

Este Verão, as ligações charter entre o continente (Lisboa e Porto) e o Porto Santo foram efectuadas pela Privilege, utilizando aparelhos da Small Planet, com a pintura (inicialmente completa e depois sem os títulos) Afriqiyah Airways, pelo que era algo diferente.... Fica um par de registos de um dos voos com origem no Porto, pela manhã... A320 LY-ONL, já sobre a pista...

I guess the name of an airline called "Small Planet" suits perfectly when you got the polish branch of a Lithuanian airline making flights from France to Portugal... It's one airline that was in my whishlist for some time. Only caught them a couple of times, none of wich I made a wow pic but, here's a few ones from last month, with runway 23 in use at Madeira international (FNC/LPMA) just landed at runway 23 Taking off from runway 23, back to France

Finally we got at Madeira, after some years of wait, Autrian's plane with the retro livery: OE-LBP Not the best time of the day nor the best weather but, it's checked. Now lets hope I'll managed to get it a few times more some some better pics... landing on runway 05, arriving from Vienna Right before the the Austrian, there was another first for me... Small Planet It's been coming for a couple of weeks but, it was my first pics of it.... SP-HAD  And right after, another moment you don't get everyday... A US Cessna 750 Citation X (unsual around here), from Avangard Aviation was quite in a hurry to depart... The passenger bus wasn't still there and it was already receiving the taxi clearance... After a quite fast taxi (for a stop at holding point...as Austrian was landing), it entered runway 05 and got its nose into departure direction for take off... Unfortunatelly, for the pilots, the ATC didn't authorized that and made h...
