Planes and stuff

Another nice bird I got in Corfu was Gestair's Pilatus 24 (rare at Madeira), EC-NRA... Lining up on runway 34   Curiously, got, back in 2021 at Madeira, another Gestair rare bird (here, at least), with an amazing livery...a flying "Vespa",  Piaggio P-180 EC-LPJ ( HERE )

  A rare Piaggio P-180 Avanti II arriving today, from Paris Le Bourget, with a technical stop at Faro. Will stay for the night and return tomorrow... Oyonnair F-HUNK.

 The Piaggio P180 Avanti is allways a nice catch. Unfortunately, Haven't got many of these (also, not the most common type here...) Today, we had this really nice spanish registration one, with a sober and elegant livery. Gestair's EC-LPJ arrived from Madrid during the morning and departed on the afternoon to Ponta Delgada, on the Azores.

Finally managed to make some shots on a flying Piaggio P180 Avanti... It's quite a rare bird here and as far as I can remember, previously had only got it once...parked on the apron. Definitely the same "taste" as seeing and hearing it flying :) A nice tail for this P180 of the Pan Europeene Air Service, arriving from Porto F-HCPE Indeed a strange bird...don't know about its flying qualities but sure get's your attention by the looks and also by its distinctive sound :)
