Vinci Airports Spotters Day 2018 - Madeira (FNC/LPMA)

Imagem
Na manhã do passado Sábado, a Vinci Airports organizou a I Edição do Vinci Airports Spotters Day.

Back in time...10 years

Back to July 2008, a pic of Luxair's B737 LX-LGS landing on runway 05 with the previous livery
Opposite to many rebrandings these days, in my opinion, the new livery of Luxair turned out really nice and a lot better than this one...

Luxair from 05

Imagem
It's been quite a while since I last got a Luxair.
Also, a long time since my last Monday afternoon spotting.
The weather was dark everywhere but still, had the time and decided to go anyway.

A fellow spotter suggested going to this spot to get some take-offs and it was a great idea as the take-off area was the only one with some sun....

Photo of the Week: Transavia and few more

Imagem
Allways liked those action pics where you can fit a few planes on the framing...lately hadn't been doing many of those.

On the day I went photographing, for the first time, the B738MAX (Tui Belgium OO-MAX, check HERE), managed to get this one also, more interesting specially because Transavia usually makes short take-offs and on this day, it made a real slow departure up in the air...also...no Airbus on the pic :)
That's dificult, here...

Photo of the Week: Luxair

Imagem
From the same day of TAP's A330 Star Alliance CS-TOH (Check HERE), a sequence of a Luxair B737 take-off, from runway 23...
Don't have any published Luxair pics from last year and this year, these are the first....way long time...
Really like their livery and with a sunny take off from runway 23, even better...

Luxair on 05

First Luxair pics I publish from this year...LX-LBA B738 landing on runway 05:

New photo of the Week: SAS from 23

Imagem
Already said more than once that I love when runway 23 is in use...last monday was one of those days...
When planes take off on the right spot, not too early, you can get some really nice background...

Luxair revisited

Imagem
Sometimes an older post get a sudden boost of views...don't really know why in most cases... Last week (and this one) noticed that there was a publication regarding Luxair that's been kicking so, time for visiting that entry... Check HERE

Afternoon's Luxair

Imagem
A few shots from last Nov.9th 2015 of the arrival of Luxair's B738 LX-LBA with a great afternoon light...

Monday afternoon....

Imagem
Mondays are one of the busiest days at Madeira International, mainly with Uk traffic...

Sharklets, Scimitars e outras que tais...

Imagem

New Week Photo: Monarch on the double

Imagem
Some from the first Monday of August...
Currently the traffic isn't that interesting on Monday afternoons but, still Monarch, Binter and Luxair are airliners that I haven't photographed much, lately...
A few shots of the Monarch flights, from London Gatwick and Birmingham ...

The First Luxair

Imagem
Like I mentioned previously, last monday was a day of firsts for me...
First Finnair and Binter of the year, the first Smartwings new colors and B738 and also...the first Luxair of the year (for me)

New Photo of the Week: Spotting runway 23

Imagem
Last monday, went, for the first time on these vacations, to the airport for an afternoon of spotting.

Lucky me, runway 23 was in use so, decided to try out a few diferent spots for the take-offs. The best framings didn't turn out as good as I wanted (out of focus and some heat haze) but still, these points turned out to be some good locations, to explore further more...

Nova foto da semana: Ano novo...Top novo...

Imagem

Published: Airliner World October

The Airliner World magazine maintains its new subscriptions campain on the October issue, offering a Madeira Airport DVD.

The chosen pic for the campain advertisement is again one of mines:

Top 5

Imagem
Today had a photo that managed to get to at least the #2 at Airliner's Top5 of last 24H...
It's allways nice and even best when it's a pic of the kind I really like

New Photo of the Week - Luxair

Imagem
One of the plane I got last monday was LX-LGR, from Luxair.
It's one airline I haven't photographed in quite a long time and definitely one that I really like the livery.

Looks like many people (spotters) don't really like it but, althought I tought the old one was nothing special, the "new" one looks rather nice, specially the tail.
