Tuifly 50 Years livery premiere

Imagem
Yesterday we got, at Madeira, for the first time, the Tuifly 50th Aniversary livery and it looks really great and brings out some nostalgic feelings, regarding the Yellow Cab and Hapag-Lloyd bits of it... B737-MAX8 D-AMAH arriving at runway 05, from Dusseldorf... Taxiing to the stand, by Wizzair A321NEO 9H-WDZ, which was getting ready for the return flight to Katowice. Didn't wait for the departure, which was to Hannover. For the sake of nostalgia...3 shots of the liveries presented on this plane (all at Madeira, of course) Hapag-Lloyd A310 D-AHFZ, back in Nov.2004 D-AHFS, with HLX livery, back in Jan.2010 Tuifly livery D-ATUN, departing from runway 23, Nov.2023

Allways nice to get a Jet2 with this kind of light... B738 G-JZHB arriving from Manchester... Curiously, it's former D-AHFS...got it once, as HLX (Hapag Lloyd Express), back in January, 7th, 2010:

Yellow cab remains

Was checking 10 years old pics and found a few ones unpublished.... Back then (07.Sep.2010) it was still possible to find some " Yellow Cab " (Hapag Lloyd Express) remains on the Tuifly planes... A couple of shots of D-AHFO, taxiing to runway 05.  These were taken with my old Canon 1000D In 2011, with Air Berlin colors... HERE

Air Berlin by Tuifly...

Today noticed a registration I hadn't met around here for quite a while...D-AHFO. The interesting thing about this one is that last time I photographed it, was wearing some colors I really enjoyed back then...Yellow Cab colors, from Hapag-Lloyd Express.... Personally I rather enjoy seeing it on HLX colors than Air Berlin.... Anyway, passing by the airport, it was departing... Took some general shots and when it was passing by me, on the take off run, noticed something on the nose.... Operated by Tuifly....  Anyway, like I said...the HLX livery looked a lot better...(for me...) Here, caught on a smoky landing, back in 2008....

Condor by White

Imagem
Last Thursday noticed, on the afternoon, that the Condor flight was beeing made by CS-TQK , from White . The week before the same had already happened but as it was a first day of flights after a the ashes shut the airport for a few days, thought that it was related to the need of extra flights.... Didn't go to the airport the last week but on the one before, did get that White , making a Condor flight in the morning (it came back on the afternoon, although I didn't get it then) It was a rainy early morning and the little sun was on the wrong place...ISO400 and 1/250 at 363mm... Defnitely not the best conditions.... After a few arrivals we went to the terminal's balcony to shot the departures and other arrivals, as runway in use changed to 23 and on the "cargo", we get nothing of that runway. Wind wasn't too strong or steady. While the White pushed back to runway 23, on the back, the other "catch" of the day, a rare B767 from Euroatlantic...

New Photo of the Week - C-135FR - the Top of a Great Week

Imagem
Despite all the mess created by the vulcano ashes of the Icelandic vulcano (I could copy/paste the name of it but it's definitely unpronounceable...) this was a great week regarding air traffic at Madeira, with lots of interesting and diferent stuff. The Cherry on Top of the Cake was the French Stratotanker that visited us last Friday, staying on night-stop, specially for a military aviation fan like myself (although I'm definitely surrended to airliners...) But there was many other stuff, like Sata's A310 with the new livery (CS-TKN), that visited us twice, the PoAF C-295 and the C-130 which made quite a low pass to compliment the French that had just arrived, the hybrid XL/Miami Air, the Smartwings, the OE-LNP in Austrian livery, the HLX Haribo and many other more regular but still interesting traffic... Spend a lot of fuel this week on trips to the airport, on everyday of the every but it's defnitely Great to have this kind traffic. Anyway, now it's time to s...

Yellow Cab

Imagem
Finally this week went to the airport, for some spotting and pics. The weather was unstable with rain and dark clouds alternating with some shy sun and lots of cold...(around 15ºC...yeah...it's cold, maybe not for you but definitely for me...) Anyway, one of the catches of the day, for the period I was there, was this yellow cab, making an Air Berlin flight. Lately it's been making some Air Berlin flights but it's only the second time I get a Yellow Cab (HLX) livery, so it was a real nice catch. (The first time I caught it... Here ) After rotation, taxiing back to runway 05, with water of recent rain still around...It was right after lunch time but the day was real dark.

Good bye Cagliari

Read today at Skyliner-aviation that the D-AHFX , with the very nice South Sardinia / Cagliari livery was ferried to receive the regular Tui painting. I know that these kind of liveries are flying comercials, paid for a contracted amount of time but, in this case, is a big loss in the world of aviation liveries specially considering that the regular Tui livery is quite bad... The new Yellow/red Tuifly liverie is rather "flashing" and it isn't that bad but the regular "boring blue" Tui livery is quite awfull... Anyway...good bye Cagliari...

South of Sardinia / Cagliari

Imagem
This morning (16.Jul.2009) HLX flight was made by "South of Sardinia / Gagliari" special livery D-AHFX. It has already departed to Hannover and will be back in the afternoon. Didn't get it in the morning and probably won't be going to the airport in the afternoon, either. Just caught this plane a couple of time and the first time the pics turned out nothing special. So, here a couple of shots of the second (and last) time I got this plane, back in March. In sunny days, late afternoon light at LPMA, is very nice for shooting...
