A300 40th aniversary

Imagem
Looks like the A300 is celebrating its 40th aniversary...so decided to dedicate this week's photo to this plane... Only managed to get a couple of these, until now. One in Madeira and another in Lanzarote (G-OJMR, from Monarch)... D-AIAX, from Hapag-Lloyd, taking off from Madeira Check another post on these planes HERE

Monarch returning

I guess that one of the most expected returns for this year (at least for me) is of Monarch! It's been several years since the last flights of that airline to Madeira and I don't even remember seeing them around here... So, it's one of the airlines I've been wanting to see around  for a long time... Next Monday will be the day (probably with an A320...). The only time I caught a Monarch plane was 3 Years ago, in Lanzarote, as I disembarked my plane noticed an A300 from Monarch, far in the distance....quite a catch...

My A300's

Imagem
Just yesterday, Luís Rosa made a post on Linhadafrente.net aviation fórum regarding the last flight from a Lufthansa Airbus A300 to Faro . The end is near for this bird. (at least at Lufthansa)... Checking my spots, I noticed that the A300 that made this last flight was the only A300 I had ever photographed at Madeira, then with Hapag Lloyd colors.... Besides this one, the only other A300 I ever photographed was this Monarch, last year, in Lanzarote: Quite a far photo, taken with a 18-55mm lens but for me, it's quite a nice record.
