Photo of the Week: Last TUI Airways

Imagem
TUI Airways (TUI UK) made its first after-Covid flight to Madeira on October, 26 but that route didn't last long... Due to last British Goverment restrictions on vacations abroad, yesterday (a couple of weeks after restarting...) was the last flight, at least for a few more weeks, suspending the only route they began...London Gatwick B738 G-FDZF on final to runway 05...

Monday mornings...not exactly as UK Blue as it used to be but still we can manage to fit a couple of TUI Uk planes in a frame... This was the same day of my first catch on Easyjet 's Berlin livery (check HERE ) B738 G-FDZD finishing the push-back while bigger brother B752 G-OOBE departs from runway 23 Curiously, G-OOBE was the plane used by TC&Starquest Expeditions back in 2011, including a stop at Madeira (check HERE )

No...won't be talking about old weapons... Actually this is about something new, the new Winglets that are beeing mounted in Boeing planes: Scimitar Winglets. Today Madeira had the visit of one bird using these: Thomson Airways B738 G-FDZF, arriving from East Midlands. Didn't make any amazing pics but at least is another new stuff for the collection. landing on runway 05 with dull weather The top winglets is also a bit diferent from the old ones.... Tui group will install them on their fleet but, as far as I know this is the only Thomson airplane with these Winglets and Thomson it the only European Airline with these... (Corrections from anyone?)
