Planes and stuff

 A única patrulha acrobática das que estão previstas para o Festival Aéreo de Beja, no dia 3 de Julho que já tive oportunidade de fotografar foi a Patrulla Aspa, do Ejército del Aire, já em 2005, aquando do Portugal Air Show de 2005... Fica um registo, como foto da semana, em jeito de memória...

Inicialmente já tinha como garantido que a foto da semana seria dedicada ao regresso dos voos nórdicos e da estreia da nova pintura Sunclass por cá mas, o adiantar de algo esperado acabou por lhe tomar o lugar...sendo fã de helicópteros, não podia deixar de dar o destaque ao Bell 412HP EC-NDJ da Pegasus que chegou hoje, de navio, à Região, para o combate a incêndios e já com capacidades acrescidas, no resgate em montanha, etc, ao contrário dos helicópteros que cá têm estado noutros anos e do CS-HEY que já se encontrava cá... Ficam alguns registos obtidos ao final da manhã, na Proteção Civil da Madeira, com o aparelho a ser montado e preparado pela equipa de manutenção. Para algo considerado, há muito poucos anos atrás, como sendo inviável na Madeira, é uma imagem interessante....  Procedimentos de montagem....

A strange year, 2020 hadn't many moments worth highlighting, at Madeira Airport... Still, there were a few... On January got my last shots on a Norwegian Air Shuttle (and most probably the last ones ever...) (Check HERE ) On February, Great Dane made its first flight to Madeira, with the Embraer 195LR OY-GDA (check HERE ): Also on February another highlight from Denmark...Danish Air Force C-130 with United Nations titles. (Check HERE ) On March, Eurowings provided us a couple of nice catches... A320 D-ABDQ with the Europa Park livery (check HERE ) and D-ABDU, with the Hertz livery (check HERE ): This summer, the firefighting helicopter was a Wucher Helicopter one... Check HERE On October, Luxair brought us, for the first time, its special livery on LX-LGU (check HERE ) On December, a couple of highlights... TAP brought us, for the first time, its new retro livery plane, A321NEO CS-TJR. Check HERE The other (and one of the highlights of the year) was Wizz Air first flight to Madeira...

O heli do SRPC é, o único aparelho deste tipo baseado na Madeira, pelo que é sempre interessante fazer uns registos ao mesmo, até porque (por enquanto...) apenas o temos por cá durante os meses de verão e em virtude da sua missão, dificilmente sabemos quando haverá oportunidade de lhe fazer uns clique em voo. No Sábado passado, sabendo que estava a combater um incêndio nas serras do Funchal, achei que seria mais garantido ir para a sede do SRPC para uns cliques à chegada.... Eurocopter AS 350B3 Ecureuil OE-XHE de partida para continuar o combate ao incêndio, com a equipa helitransportada de bombeiros ... Chegada do heli para reabastecimento e descanso da tripulação.... Saída da equipa helitransportada, sob o olhar atento do Leslie, a pequena mascote do SRPC :) ...e do técnico de manutenção do heli, claro :)  Partindo para dar continuidade ao combate ao incêndio, com a presença de um grupo de bombeiros, que treinava operações de desencarceramento. Bons voos!

When you're enjoying your sights and suddenly, an Eurocopter EC 130T2 roars up the mountain, appearing from God knows where in your face before making a tight flight inversion into the valey again.... At first you're definitely too astonished to react and just enjoy the view...then you start swearing for missing such a catch... :) Righ after that, attached my 70-300 into the camera and waited for the next one...unfortunatelly it seemed like there wouldn't be any... When I was already inside the train, there it came again and managed to make a few shots, through the open window and on backlit but, hell!! These ones I didn't mind beeing on backlit.... Air Zermatt Eurocopter HB-ZAZ performing a scenic flight, climbing into the top of the Gornergrat leaving the top of the mountains, after inverting the flight direction... Still managed to get a Medevac made by another of its helicopters, at Zermatt but, more on that later....
