Planes and stuff

D-AICJ taking off from runway 05 with Costa Serena Cruise Ship in the back Just received today the November issue of Airliner World magazine. It was the last issue where they advertised their subscription campaign with the offer of the Madeira Airport DVD. This time the chosen pic was the one above, with Condor's D-AICJ, taking off at runway 05, passing right in front of Costa Serena cruise ship, moments after rotation. It's just one of those lucky shots when everything comes together at the right time (and with a nice afternoon light...)

This Weeks Photo is one of those you can't get acepted in any aviation photography site. Anyway, it's one of my favorites: TAP's just landed on runway 05 and it's vacating through taxiway "Bravo", while far away, Costa Serena cruise ship is passing by, after leaving Funchal. On that day, there were a few more nice catches but the only other aeronaval spotting photo I managed to took was this Condor take-off, right in front of Costa Serena...
