Brazilian by night

PR-HNG, a great looking Bombardier BD-100-1A10 Challenger 350, with one of the airport's fire trucks passing behind.

Yesterday, we got 3 Brazilian bizjets...2 of them, with very nice liveries...
Didn't managed to get any of the arrivals but as PR-HNG had this really nice livery and was within reach of some pics from the public balcony, decided to go for some night-shots...

With 1 TAP flight canceled and the other 2 delayed (way to go.....) was beeing a bit hard to get some color behind the plane but finally, the airport fire corp made a change on the vehicles of the Advanced fire station, allowing some nice long-exposure trail on the back.

Later, one of the TAP (an Aigle Azur plane) arrived, allowing some more shots but, more on that later..

Belgium Family Life...Getting stupid

Had already some shots of Thomson's (TUI Uk) Family Life G-FDZG (check HERE) but this was the first time I got the belgium one (OO-JAF).
With runway 23 in use, would probably get some nice shots but decided to try to find a bit of a diferent spot for this take-off, as the G-FDZG had also been caught from here....
Well...long story short....this is the only pic I got of the plane.....

Photo of the Week: Air Europa 30 Years

30 Years of airline is allways worth to celebrate.
Can't say it's the prettiest special livery I've seen....but at least the number isn't under the fuselage, like the TAP 70 years.....
Anyway it was well worth the catch as it was the first I got Air Europa new livery despite  the older one is still my fav....

Medic 36

(ver AQUI)
Partida, no dia 20 de Junho.

US Challenger

From last Saturday morning, the same day of the Corendon (check HERE) and TAP Sharklets CS-TNS (Check HERE), a very nice surprise...

Night shots

A couple more shots from last month when I went with a local spotter and a visiting spotter to the balcony for some night shots...
Unfortunatelly, windy night, not long exposure friendly...

The Austrian private

Sometimes is well worth checking you archives...

This one was taken in 2010, and remained until now in that day folder...
The star of that day was Niki's ERJ-190 (ckech HERE) and this one remained forgoten...

A Couple of Bizjets

These two beauties have been here for a few day's (at least since August, 25th)

At first tought that this Global 5000 was a Gulfstream, but it does look better than the Gulfstream, that's not one of my fav. bizjets at all....
Here seen with TAP's A330 CS-TOK taxiing after its landing on runway 23 (and an aborted approach, due to traffic on the runway)

This one has a very nice livery!
As far as I know it was supposed to have departed this morning...

SBA back to Madeira and New Photo of the Week

Yesterday (06.Jun.2009) it was quite an interesting morning at LPMA:
The return of SBA (Santa Bárbara) from Caracas and the first daylight visit of Sata's new A320, with the new livery.
Any way, the Sata's photos will be for another post.

Initially schedulled for the 8h, the Santa Bárbara had a 2hour delay, arriving a few minutes after 10h.
Must admit that I the B767 is not one of my favorite planes. It doesn't come much to Madeira and I don't really miss it but in this livery it looks really amazing!!!

A lucky shot, with the beacons on...

This Swiss Air Ambulance was an unexpected visitor. It's allways a nice catch...

After this, took my daughter to the playground, at Santa Cruz. Decided that would be there until she wanted to go home and wouldn't worry much on getting the departure of SBA.

When she was ready to leave, we made a quick pass behind the airport just to check the status of SBA and then noticed it was just finishing the push-back to runway 05.
Headed to the side of runway 23, where I found Ricardo Ferreira and took some pics of the take off, a bit of a late one...

Some noticeable wingflex...
