Foto da Semana: Tobago do Aeroclube

Imagem

Nova foto da semana: Smoke on...

Imagem

The first A318 at Madeira

Imagem
Sometimes, a spotter life is not an easy one... ;)) This A318 was a much expected plane as it's the first A318 at Madeira and it got me 2 days to get it.... First schedulled to arrive from Faro (LPFR) at 5pm of last wednesday the F#$%"... plane got delayed and only arrived here 4 or 5 hours later, when it was night already...so no pics of the arrival for anyone... Not knowing when it's shedulled to depart, decided to go to the airport for some shots before it went away. Still planes are not my kind of favortie photos but in this case, definitely better a still pic than no pic at all... Despit the sunny and hot day at Funchal, the weather at Santa Cruz was the frontier into another completely diferent weather....a nice late afternoon sun at Santa Cruz (and runway 05) and a dark rainy sky to the eastern part of the island (and runway 23) VP-CKS, from National Air Services, a Saudi Arabia airline with big bizjets... The wind blowing at the airport was noticeabl...

A Quicky for the French and the local...

Imagem
Yesterday had to go to Santa Cruz so, made a quick stop at runway 23 to get the arrival of the Air Méditerranée... It's allways nice to get some runway 23 landings on the afternoon...unfortunatelly looks like summer (and sun) still didn't find the way to Madeira... Short final to Med'air B737 smoke on on F-HCOA landing Just before the landing of the Air Méditerranée, still managed to get the landing of local Aeroclube Tobago CS-DCH.... passing high by the wind indicator....

Jet2 Holidays special livery

Imagem
This one was an hard catch... Was after it a long time...really love its livery. Used to be on service with Tuifly , with D-AHFB registration (with the great Sharan special livery....) It surprised us monday at lunch time but, due to strong winds ended up diverting to Porto Santo (check pics here ) The B737 G-GDFD ready for push-back Pushing back to 05, with OK-TVR from Travel Service on the next stand (had also arrived from Porto Santo, after beeing diverted to that island on the previous day) CS-DCH , the TB-10 from local Aeroclube making a windy take-off for a flight to Funchal (check more pics HERE ) Unfortunatelly, opposite to the previous 3 planes, the Jet2 made quite a long take-off so, the pics didn't turned out  as I wanted (specially with all that fog....)

New Photo of the Week - Brave small ones...

Imagem
Las Monday afternoon wind was blowing quite hard at Madeira Airport so, most of the afternoon planes had to divert to Porto Santo and Canary islands....(including the newest Jet2 logojet which was premiering at Madeira, with those colors.... and "I Love Prague" Travel Service's logojet....) The next morning (yesterday, Tuesday) the diverted planes started to come to Madeira. The wind was calmer but still blowing hard... despite all the planes and the Jet2 special livery, I must say that the small Tobago, from local Aeroclube was the one that really thrilled me most... CS-DCH departing from 05 to a local flight to Funchal bay Take-off was made really early...notice the passengers from Travel Service staring at the Tobago... over the runway...wind wasn't making it easy....

Last Sunday of February

Imagem
It's been a long time since I last caught TAP A330. Last sunday of February made a quick stop at the airport just when the TP131 when about to leave to Caracas. Not much traffic at that time, so, made a couple of quick shots at the apron.... CS-TON, pushing back to runway 05 A quick shot to CS-TRB, Sata's Q200, with Madeira Aeroclub's planes in the back (CS-AIC and CS-DCH) Then, moved to another location for a few shots of the take-off

A nice take-off

Imagem
On the same morning of the Transavia crew shots I finally managed to get some neat shots of the Aeroclube da Madeira's Tobago on its new colors. They went to Porto Santo for a Touch&Go and with runway 23 in use in the morning, the terminal's balcony was just the right place to be.... Taxiing to runway 23 They went up in the air quite early and came in over the runway, low-level, before pushing up and to the left, on a great take-off sequence, even more with Madeira's background....

The entire fleet...

The entire fleet of Madeira's Aeroclub.... A Piper 180 and a Tobago TB-10 which got (at least for the summer) some new "colors" due to publicity stickers....
