For the record

Imagem
Back to December 2025, a few shots just for the record. It's not my favorite kind of shots but, always nice to have some records...specially the Sunclass airplanes...the first ones I publish from 2025... Runway 23 in use. Sunclass A321 OY-TCE arriving from Helsinki Sunclass A321NEO OY-VKE arriving from Copenhagen Condor A321 D-ATCC British Airways A321 G-EUXL, from London-Gatwick Tui UK B738 G-TUKT, from Manchester

BA first A321

Imagem
Today we got a British Airways A321, for the first time (for me....had to correct this, found and previous photo of a BA A321, here) G-EUXM, operated by BA EuroFlyer, arriving at runway 05, from London Gatwick.

Condor NEO

From the same day of Air Baltic first flight (check HERE ), Condor A321NEO D-ANMX, arriving, from Frankfurt a little bit of the apron, while parking, with Tui UK B738 G-TUKT, British Airways A320 G-GATU, Easyjet A320 and Finnair A321 OH-LZL

Air Baltic first flight

Imagem
Air Baltic made its first flight to Madeira yesterday. It was quite dificult to make its firs landing at Madeira as it was one of those out of limits winds days... Good for me :) It should have arrived form Riga during the morning, when I couldn't be at the airport but due to the winds it diverted to Las Palmas and only came to Madeira during the afternoon...even then, it didn't land at the first atempt, with a go-around in the begining of long final... Finally it managed to land after another go to the IAP and full approach... A220-300 YL-ABU, on 05... It's been quite a long time I wanted to see this one around here, specially with the beautiful A220 A part of the apron during the last sunlight, with BA, TUI UK and Condor A321NEO Condor A321NEO D-ANMX and YL-ABU...quite a lot of green :) And a shot on the go-around of the afternoon...

British on a new spot

Imagem
This week decided to try a new (for me) spot..a sightseeing spot that I haven't been to since, probably when I was a kid.... Nice memories and also some nice perspectives to the planes on final to runway 05. With some cross-winds it can give some interesting catches... British Airways A320NEO G-TTNI on final to 05, arriving from London, after diverting to Porto Santo.

Photo of the Week: 2 in One World...

Imagem
Usually Sundays at lunch time is not a good time for spotting but, last Sunday was a diferent day and we got lucky...not only got the oportunity for the first landing shots on the BRA but we also got (for the first time?) British Airways A320 with One World titles...never even noticed that these titles were applied to A320's... SE-RGG arriving from Stockholm... G-EUYR, arriving from London Heathrow... Looks like BA will stop flying to Madeira, from LHR as from Oct.2024 and will start flying from London Gatwick...

Colorful apron

Imagem
Back to April, a nice colorful apron, with some dark background... Also, the presence of a Trade Air which isn't that common at Madeira.

British to Heathrow

Imagem
A sequence on the departure of British Airways A320NEO G-TTNT from Madeira's runway 05 to London - Heathrow.

BA to London

Imagem
Early take-off, as usual, for British Airways A320NEO G-TTNO, on departure from Madeira's runway 05, back to London Heathrow.

British...

Imagem
A few shots of the arrival and departure (departure from a first try spot) from/to London Heathrow. A320NEO G-TTNB Exiting through Charlie, after a runway 23 landing... For the return flight, taxiing through Bravo Was expecting a bit of a more rocket take-off...

Photo of the Week: Up and Away

Imagem
Almost guaranteed with British Airways is that the take-off's will be rocket ones... Moved to Ferro expecting one of those, from A320NEO G-TTNP, returning to London and wasn't disapointed (it got up even earlier than I had expected...)

Photo of the Week: BA to LHR

Imagem
A sequence on the departure of British Airways A320NEO G-TTND from runway 05 to London - Heathrow. BA afternoons take-offs are usually nice on this spot as they are one of the airlines to make earlier take-offs...

Condor Greeny

Imagem
From the same day of "Wally" (check HERE ), another striped Condor...the green A321 D-AIAC...

Shaken not stirred

Imagem
Beeing a British Airways, can't help to remember the expression, regardind this final to runway 05..."shaken not stirred"... The previous landing aircraft reported windshear and turbulence, with the wind a bit crosswinded... It wasn't a scandalous dangerous final but I'm sure it did provide some amount of "amusement" to the passengers on board... British Airways A320NEO G-TTND arriving at runway 05, from London Heathrow.... Still...a regular landing, not much ahead of the usual spot, opposite to the next landind Condor...

Wings and Stripes...the green...

Imagem
Yesterday, got for the first time (also think it was its first time here with this livery) the Green Stripes Condor... Aka Sporting, Rio Ave, Vitória de Setúbal, or whatever footbal club you can remember with these colors...anyway, still more keen on the original name...barraca de praia (beach tent....) A321 D-AIAC, arriving from Frankfurt... A well composed apron.... You can check the Yellow Stripes HERE
