Planes and stuff

The first Jet2 I publish from this year...B738 G-GDFC, curiously, the one that had the tail strike at Madeira, back in 2014, staying quite some time, for repair (check HERE ), departing from runway 05 to Leeds.

Back to June 2018, TUI Nederland B738 PH-TFB departing from runway 05, to Amsterdam. Back when the TUI Group started using this livery I tought it was really nice but after getting once more the same livery to all the planes of the group it's just simply boring...come on!... They could at least change the colors, like Tuifly made, with the yellow...or use the green or pink or whatever for the diferent airlines of the group...

After quite some time, got an Enter Air once more: SP-ENT arriving from Paris Charles de Gaulle, on the same day I photographed Easyjet's Amsterdam livery (G-EZDN...check HERE )

Looks like russian airline Transaero its on its way to bankruptcy...check HERE They flew the Moscow - Madeira route in the summers of 2011, 12, 13 and 2014 (in 2015, they cancelled the operation). with the B738....at first we still hoped for something diferent but they kept the type of aircraft... The return flights were allways very heavy, at least on fuel for the loong return to Moscow and many times, planes took a long bit of runway for the take-off... EI-EDZ taking off from runway 05, in what was definitely the longest take-off run I've seen around here... One of my favorite shots of all times...EI-EEA arriving at the stand... For today another set of pics from last Saturday, with runway 23 in use and a very nice sun and weather... F-HBAL, Aigle Azur 's A319 arriving from Paris-Orly (ORY/LFPO) Pushing back, for the return flight, already with runway 05 in use... On the apron, a TAP A320 and another flight from France: Transavia France B738 F-GZHG And...a pic like the ones I like...lots of planes in movement in one frame... For some time I was only interested in Tuifly planes if it holded a special livery but noticed that I almost didn't have any pics of good ol'yellow ones... Ando also, now that the scimitar winglets are beeing fitted, it's an extra point of interest to make some shots of these birds.... Today managed to get, for the first time, an Arkefly (looks like now it's only Arke...) with the new Tui livery. Despite the sunny afternoon at Funchal, the airport was quite dull and dark....crap... PH-TFC arriving from Amsterdam Push-back and taxi to runway 05, with D-ABMF from Air Berlin, with the One World group titles. Not a late take-off, from runway 05...

Looks like the Jet2 that suffered the tail strike last Feb. 17th 2014 at Madeira (G-GDFC) will still be around for a few days... (waiting for Boeing engineers and hardware to repair it...) Yesterday morning noticed they had taped it in some areas... Wings emergency exits... nose...

Já que falhei completamente a nova pintura especial da Thomas Cook Belgium esta manhã (devia estar com sono quando olhei para o FR24...) fica o meu primeiro registo da nova pintura Smartwings e o primeiro B738 que fotografo desta companhia... Há já algum tempo que estes aviões nos visitam, efectuando voos Travel Service mas, até a semana passada não tinha tido grandes hipóteses de lhes fazer umas chapas.. OK-TVW na final para a 23 Estas cores, apesar do branco dominante, assentam muito bem neste aparelho...
