Photo of the Week: Sunny Cars Livery

Imagem
Time for a new photo of the week...almost at the end of summers season (probably not long for this one to return to Canada) finally managed to make a few shots on this great livery. Leased to Sunwing Airlines by TUI Nederlands, B738 C-FDBD is carrying the Sunny Cars livery, which looks really nice and colorful. Allways a great catch! Seen here arriving from Amsterdam, about to land on runway 05

On the other side....

TUI Nederland (Arke) B738 PH-TFF pushing back at Amsterdam Schiphol  One of the boring blues that comes to Madeira (or at least came, back then), seen on the other end of the route, as it was pushing back for a departure from AMS. On the back...the omnipresent blue home team...KLM B738 PH-BXV

Back to Amsterdam

Imagem
Back to June 2018, TUI Nederland B738 PH-TFB departing from runway 05, to Amsterdam. Back when the TUI Group started using this livery I tought it was really nice but after getting once more the same livery to all the planes of the group it's just simply boring...come on!... They could at least change the colors, like Tuifly made, with the yellow...or use the green or pink or whatever for the diferent airlines of the group...

The first MAX

Imagem
Tui Belgium OO-MAX was the first B738MAX at Madeira. Came for the first time last week but didn't manage to get it. This week, with a nice weather and runway 23 in use, got it, arriving from Brussels...  Comparing the regular B738 (Tui Nederland PH-TFB) with the B738MAX.... The departure was way earlier than the previous traffic so only maneged a belly shot of the departure....

Photo of the Week: The almost gone canadian

You know you're getting lazy on the pics when you realise you are about to delete a card with the pics of a one time catch and still haven't copied them to you HDD....almost one month later... Still, managed to save them... Tui Nederlands (Arke) made some flights to Madeira using Sunwing hybrid planes. Already had caught C-FTOH (check HERE ) but after spotting C-GOWG over Amsterdam (high on the sky) they finally brought it to Madeira at least a couple of times...got it once... Landing on 05 A colorful TUI apron :) (Tuifly's CEWE, D-ATUH still with the white nose, after its birdstrike the previous week, at Madeira)

Sunwing: the Canadian Dutch

Imagem
During summer, many airlines lease planes from far away places but you don't expect to see many of those birds around here...after all, many do come with their own crews and certificating a captain for a couple of flights to Madeira isn't very common...they just do other flights to other destinations with no certification needed... So, it was a great surprise and definitely a moment to register the presence of the "Canadian Dutch" TUI Family life special livery that is also a Sunwing hybrid.... On the push-back to Amsterdam with the Sunwing titles on the inside of the Scimitar Winglet and the Canadian flag... Definitely a diferent livery for this TUI Family Life...the hybrid parts of the Sunwing with the Netherlands national color suit pretty well on an Arke (TUI Netherlands) plane.... The full plane revealling a very nice livery ;)

Tuinified...

Imagem
Uniformization of procedures, colors, branding, etc...may be a smart and good economic measure for a company but, it gets reall boring for spotters... After boring blue for the TUI Group planes, now we're getting boring TUI...(at least, before the planes had diferente airline titles...)... TUI Netherlands B738 PH-TFC landing on runway 05... former Arkefly / Arke planes now only have the flag and registration to differentiate from other TUI airlines

Crew details on the Arke

Imagem
I'm not much of detail photos but, sometimes that are some stuff that just catches the eye... A couple of detail shots on the Arke / TUI Netherlands B738 PH-TFC, from last month... A spotting captain or just some memories? Madeira is allways worth another shot, to remember :) Full uniform, with the hat? Don't usually notice many of those here...

Brazilian Legacy

Imagem
Not everyday I get a nice Embraer Legacy 500 like this brazilian bird... an extra to the special "Hamburg" Easyjet G-EZGB (check HERE ) PR-HIL arrived the previous day and would depart later this day... With Arke (TUI Netherlands) PH-TFC landing on runway 05

Divergido...

Orange on final to 05

Imagem
A couple of pics from yesterday, of the landing of Arke's B738 PH-TFB, arriving from Amsterdam. Still hadn't any pics of this plane published here...

Arke...fly..with new colors...

Imagem
Today managed to get, for the first time, an Arkefly (looks like now it's only Arke...) with the new Tui livery. Despite the sunny afternoon at Funchal, the airport was quite dull and dark....crap... PH-TFC arriving from Amsterdam Push-back and taxi to runway 05, with D-ABMF from Air Berlin, with the One World group titles. Not a late take-off, from runway 05...

The first Arkefly....

Imagem
....of the season, for me... Like I've mentioned a few times, Tui regular colors like the ones used by Arkefly are definitely not a thrill to catch so, haven't made much effort to get Arkefly since they started making the summer season flights. But, in this day, it happened to catch PH-TFD, arriving and departing from / to Amsterdam... Landing on runway 05 Madeira flowers...... The take off was made from runway 23

Arkefly

Imagem
The only time I went to the airport just to photograph an Arkefly was on the day of its premiere . That Tui livery (boring blue, as I call it...) isn't defnitely a thing to make you want to wake up early on a Sunday morning, so I hadn't any other photos of that airline... This summer season it started coming on other days of the week, still wasn't going on purpose just to it but on the day after the ashes I was there for the other traffic when Arkefly landed, from Amsterdam. Entering the apron with the early morning sun, managed to give a nice look for the boring blue.... For the departure back to Amsterdam, the sun had already gone.. The take-off wan't too late but still, this is a 500mmm shot...
