Foto da Semana: As coisas importantes...

Imagem

Outros tipos, outras cores...

Imagem

New Photo of the Week: A few ones...

Imagem
Saturday afternoons are now very nice at Madeira Aiport with some traffic well worth catching. It's allways nice to have a full and colorfull apron to fill you framings :) Last Saturday, oposite to Funchal, the weather was quite awfull and only the fact that I had to spend some time around made me stay there for some pics. This one was taken while one of the few rays of sun hit the airport, that afternoon, with Norwegian B737 LN-NOI taxiing to its parking with a German "task force" on the back: D-AHHC, Hamburg Airways A320 making a Sata flight from/to Jersey. D-ABKS and D-ABMO, from Air Berlin and A321 D-AIDN from Lufthansa

The first Enter Air

Imagem
...of the year. For me, last Thursday was the day I got the first Enter Air of the year. It had arrived positioned the previous day and departed early in the morning to CDG (Paris - Charles de Gaulle) Took a couple of pics from behind the airport while it was preparing to depart... getting the push-back ready...  and then, with runway 23 in use, I decided to go to the airport's terminal balcony. Unfortunately it requested a runway 05 departure and was cleared to take-off before I went up... So, decided to try something different ...

WheelTug by Germania

Imagem
Never had noticed that Germania is related with the electric taxi and push-back systems. Only found out this when googling about WheelTug, found in the stickers of this A319 from the german airline. Interesting... Check HERE Anyaway, this was a flight from Toulouse, arriving at runway 23 reverses on D-ASTY taxiing to the apron trough "Charlie" On the return flight, push-back was made by good old towing.... runway 23 take-offs allways nice....

C-295 10.000 Horas

Imagem

Egypt at Madeira

Imagem
Actually....Egypt by Thomas Cook, at Madeira... Another of monday's special liveries was this nice B757, from Thomas Cook, arriving from Glasgow G-TCBB entering the apron by taxiway Charlie, after landing on runway 23

Prague Loves You

Imagem
Today, we had a few special liveries at Madeira. Travel Service alone brought a couple of "Prague Airport" special liveries among its 3 flights(737 in the morning and A320 in the afternoon) . In the morning we got OK-TVX (former OE-LNR, from Lauda Air and Austrian). Taking off from runway 23, to Marseille

Austrian retro

Imagem
Finally we got at Madeira, after some years of wait, Autrian's plane with the retro livery: OE-LBP Not the best time of the day nor the best weather but, it's checked. Now lets hope I'll managed to get it a few times more some some better pics... landing on runway 05, arriving from Vienna Right before the the Austrian, there was another first for me... Small Planet It's been coming for a couple of weeks but, it was my first pics of it.... SP-HAD  And right after, another moment you don't get everyday... A US Cessna 750 Citation X (unsual around here), from Avangard Aviation was quite in a hurry to depart... The passenger bus wasn't still there and it was already receiving the taxi clearance... After a quite fast taxi (for a stop at holding point...as Austrian was landing), it entered runway 05 and got its nose into departure direction for take off... Unfortunatelly, for the pilots, the ATC didn't authorized that and made h
