Nova foto da Semana: Na final para a 30
Tinha planeado para a foto desta semana uma imagem referente à estreia a Edelweiss mas, acabei por não estar lá....
Paciência...confesso que depois também já não tive pachorra de ir à saída do avião...descolagens haverão outras..."banhos" é que não...
Na falta do Edelweiss, fica uma outra que me parece também interessante e que é igualmente daquelas que não tenho oportunidade de tirar todos os dias....

Saturday pannings
Last Saturday, as the traffic wasn't nothing really special, went for some experiences with pannings...
These 2 were the ones that turned out best.
Despite they weren't made on too low speeds (1/80), still some nice effects...

Bastante tempo depois do NAX ter recomeçado a voar para a Madeira, lá me decidi a ir fazer umas fotos e já que ia, mais valia ir um nadinha mais cedo para aproveitar o tráfego de final de manhã...
Ao contrário do que costumo fazer, com entrada relativas cada tráfego, vou deixar um cheirinho de quase tudo o que apanhei (ainda tenho umas fotos noutro cartão que, por agora, não tive pachorra de tratar....)
Para os 2 primeiros acabei por parar à descida para o cais de Santa Cruz, já que não dava tempo para mais...
Ficam os TAP's e Easyjet para outro dia...
Ao contrário do que costumo fazer, com entrada relativas cada tráfego, vou deixar um cheirinho de quase tudo o que apanhei (ainda tenho umas fotos noutro cartão que, por agora, não tive pachorra de tratar....)

Bluebird Cargo
O voo de carga diário de/para Lisboa foi hoje efectuado por algo bem diferente: o Bluebird Cargo!
Foi uma surpresa completa quando me apercebi que era esta beleza que vinha a fazer o voo de carga (nem sei se foi o primeiro dia...mas, suponho que sim...ou pelo menos nenhum dos spotters habituais se tinha apercebido dele ainda...)
Apesar de ter assim um arzito de lata de Pepsi-Cola, é de longe bem mais interessante que a "branca de neve sul-africana" utilizado habitualmente pela Agroar...
Tendo em conta que podia ser um voo único, tratei de conjugar as coisas e unir o útil ao agradável e fui apanhar a saída do voo para Lisboa.
Nem tinha ligado o rádio, enquanto esperava pela descolagem do Bluebird e estava completamente distraído, quando me apercebi desta outra beleza na final curta para a 05....

Premiering on the Q400 (CS-TRD), decided to try some shots only possible on high wing planes.

For the return flight, decided for the lower angle, with the landing gear...

New Photo of the Week: Estreando o Q400....
Estreei há dias o Q400 (CS-TRD).
Na altura que a Sata estreou esta aeronave na Madeira, já tinha tido oportunidade de visitar a mesma mas, isso apenas serviu para dar uma vista de olhos e conhecer o layout e mais um ou outro pormenor.
Voar no bicho seria uma coisa completamente diferente...
Há já algum tempo que não voava em turboprops, de qualquer forma, não tinha grandes esperanças que este fosse muito melhor, em termos de insonorização que os ATR-72 que tinha voado da última vez...
Quando chegou à altura de escolher o lugar (não marcados) as opções oscilavam entre um local fotograficamente interessante, ao pé dos motores e logo mais barulhento, ou um local mais calminho...
Acabei por ceder à primeira opção...Ainda não vi com pormenor as fotos que tirei nesse voo mas, espero realmente que tenham ficado boas, a ver se valeu a dor de cabeça....é realmente algo barulhento e sinceramente, depois de saciada a curiosidade da estreia (e respectivo regresso...) não faço grande questão de v…

A different Q400 / replacing the Q200
Last Tuesday was German day, no doubt...
Anyway decided to share the Sata planes after the littles spotters for 2 reasons:
Sata's Q400 on that day was quite unusual around here and the Q200 that usualy makes FNC-PXO flights is grounded with a mechanical problem...
Last Tuesday, Sata's Q400 that came from Ponta Delgada was a different registration: CS-TRG
Checking Airliners and Jetphotos noticed that in either there was only 1 pic of this reg....rare, for sure...
After arriving from Ponta Delgada, caught it departing to Las Palmas with quite a nice framing...
The other reason I mention in the begining was the grounding of "local" Sata Q200 due to mechanical problems.... I've heard that the replacement part still has to come from outside Europe so, tomorow a Q400 should arrive to Porto Santo to replace the Q400.....

Getting the rudder back
A few days ago I wondered when would CS-TGL fly again?
Well, last Thursday, besides the interest of all the traffic that came to retrieve the passengers held by a few days of airspace closed due to the ashes, I had the luck to see the operation to mount the tail rudder back on CS-TGL.
Was told that it might leave tomorow to Ponta Delgada. If so, then these were the last pics I took of it, as tomorow I won't be going for sure to the airport....

Meanwhile, just a few meters away, new generation of prop transportation was continuing the legacy of the old ATP...

Sata Q400 Premiere at Madeira
Finally, I'll share these ones....
As far as I know, the Sata was the first Q400 at Madeira.
I was rather curious regarding this plane. Through the photos I'd seen, I couldn't make my mind on it: Liked it or not?
It arrived around 12 o'clock, not a very good time for photography, regarding light and heat waves... Allways had found this perspective very funny in other photos...looks like it's standing just in the nose gear....
The first crew, incluinding a pilot from Bombardier (Tyrolean Airways?), on the right. Those engines look really ugly...like long boxes... On the inside, it still smelled like brand new... During the scale, they made a couple of training landings and a missed approach procedure, before preparing the return flight. Quite a powerfull take-off...it was empty...
