Too bad this was the only runway 23 departure we got, just before the wind changed to runway 05...

Swiftair uses the ATR-72 (various registrations) for the daily cargo flight LIS-FNC-LIS
This is the usual spot for the morning, before returning to Lisbon

The spot for the Binter ATR-72 that connects Madeira to Porto Santo.
The airline regularly changes the plane for this route, using the flights to the Canary islands to change crew and planes.
This plane (EC-KGJ) is baptized after Madeira island and the cerimony took plane here, back in 2009.

On an afternoon with little traffic photographed, still managed to get some nice shots...
Binter ATR-72's are already home traffic so, decided to try some panning shots of the afternoon departure to Porto Santo (PXO/LPPS)...this one turned out ok

Binter to Porto Santo

Currently, Binter is carrying the Madeira - Porto Santo - Madeira flights.
Getting the airline's ATR's at Madeira is common but getting a runway 36 landing is more rare for me so, went for an afternoon landing on one of the days I was there...

A320 EC-MAH was coming from Barcelona to Madeira but due to the winds out of limits, had to divert to the neighbour island.

Por hoje ficam 3 registos, do mês passado, no Porto Santo, de 3 dos aparelhos que divergiram para aquela ilha, devido aos ventos acima dos limites na Madeira.

A320 EC-MAH da Vueling a taxiar para o stand...acabaria por regressar a Barcelona, algum tempo depois...
Segundo os spotters locais, foi a primeira vez que tiveram um Vueling pelo Porto Santo.
Consegui fazer uns registos da aterragem...logo os partilho, daqui a uns dias... 

Ainda apareceu pelo Porto Santo um CRJ da Air Nostrum mas, acabaria por não o apanhar, já que acabaria por regressar a Madrid...

Binter: Night-stop no Porto Santo

Uma das críticas que têm sido apontadas à Binter é o facto de o aparelho não ficar baseado no Porto Santo...
No mês passado, tive a sorte de poder registar o primeiro night-stop da Binter na ilha Dourada :)
Claro que, essa mesma escala nocturna nada teve a ver com contratos mas sim com o vento fora de limites na Madeira, que obrigaram a companhia espanhola a cancelar o voo de regresso a FNC...

With the begining of Binter flights between Madeira and Porto Santo we now have a little ATR corner at Madeira airport... :)

Swiftair's ATR-72 EC-MAF (daily cargo flight from/to Lisbon), with Binter ATR-72 EC-JQL
On holding for runway 05, Aero Contractors Dash 8 5N-BPU (check HERE) and Edelweiss A320 HB-IJU landing on runway 05, from Zurich.
It funny to see how many planes you can squeeze on a non overview pic... :)

Binter na linha Madeira - Porto Santo

No passado dia 5 de Junho, a Binter substituiu a Aerovip/Sevenair na rota inter-ilhas do arquipélago da Madeira.
Estão a operar a linha com um ATR-72 que fica em nigh-stop na Madeira.
De manhã vai ao Porto Santo, regressa à Madeira e durante o dia faz o voo Binter para Canárias (Grã-Canária ou Tenerife), utilizando normalmente outro aparelho para fazer o voo de regresso de Canárias e da tarde para o Porto Santo e regresso à Madeira, onde fica novamente em night-stop.

Binter vence Porto Santo - Madeira

Apesar de ainda não ser público o resultado do concurso da linha áerea Porto Santo - Madeira, a RTP-Madeira já noticiou a selecção da Binter para esta linha, por exclusão dos restantes 2 candidatos.

Binter ao final da tarde....

No Sábado passado tivemos um motivo extra para fazer umas fotos ao Binter que fez o voo de TFN.
Infelizmente não me foi possível lá ir fazer umas fotos mas, deu o mote para tratar e publicar estas, as primeiras que publico este ano da Binter, tiradas há cerca de duas semanas, ao final  da tarde.

Curiosamente, tratava-se do EC-KGJ, baptizado com o nome da nossa ilha, "Madeira", aparelho que foi baptizado com este nome no nosso aeroporto, em 2004. Podem ver algumas fotos desse evento AQUI

Currently the traffic isn't that interesting on Monday afternoons but, still Monarch, Binter and Luxair are airliners that I haven't photographed much, lately...
A few shots of the Monarch flights, from London Gatwick and Birmingham ...

Binter de volta

No passado dia 2 de Julho tivemos o regresso da Binter à Madeira, para os voos de Verão, de Grã-Canária e Tenerife.

Como tive um tempinho e já tinha saudades de fotografar um Binter, fui fazer umas fotos à chegada do voo da tarde da passada segunda-feira...

Ainda bem que foi na segunda, pois se tivesse ido hoje iria ter pouca sorte....com o vento que se fazia sentir no Aeroporto, eles decidiram nem vir...

Tem sido sempre o mesmo desde que há alguns anitos apanharam uns sustos e umas viagens de ida e volta sem tocar solo madeirense, agora nem arriscam sair de lá, quando a Meteo está menos favorável.
