Planes and stuff

For a change, not an aviation pic for the photo of the week...still, on "top of the sky".... :) Pico Ruivo is the highest peak of Madeira and the third highest point of Portugal. Despite this one was taken quite below the top of the peak, still, love the sensation of beeing on top of the world...

After the night-stop, time for the Royal Danish Air Force C-130J B-536 to depart for the final leg of its trip... With a cloudy and dark day, decided to give it a try on a spot that usually, at that time would be strongly backlit but, on the other hand would probably provide more interesting action shots...was counting on the clouds keeping its dark look... All in all...I guess it could be worse...(it could also be a lot better, off course...) Getting the plane ready, after the night... Engine on! all four running and almost ready to go....love the prop blur of those propellers... A few shots of the take-off, where the backlit would do more damage.... Have a nice trip and a good mission! Stay safe!

Today we had the most interest traffic of the year (for me...): A Royal Danish Air Force C-130J...and the "cherry on top of the cake"...with UN Titles... It was the first time I got a Danish Air Force plane. A few shots of the arrival of C-130J30 B-536. On a dark day, we were lucky enough to get some sun on the touchdown... :) :)

From the begining of the month, EasyJet A320 G-EZRT departing from runway 23, late afternoon with the last sunrays and a couple of beacons on a couple of shots..  Quite rare for me... 

From the same day of Great Dane Airlines premiere (08.Feb.2020, check HERE ) some shots of the arrival of TUI Belgium OO-TNB, arriving 5 hours late, from Tenerife South, on a direct entry to runway 23, when the visibility over Ponta de S.Lourenço was quite bad... It came in quite fast coming to a stop after taxiway Charlie, going to the end of the runway for the backtrack... reverses and spoillers on after landing on runway 23 despite the black clouds and bad visibility to the east of the island, at the airport there was a nice late afternoon sunlight still closing the reverses, after a fast landing on runway 23

From last saturday, the departure of Eurowings B738 D-ABKM from runway 23, back to Cologne (CGN/EDDK) Curiously, got it a few times here, while with service with Air Berlin (check HERE )

From last Saturday, the same day of Great Dane Airlines premiere (check HERE ), the take-off of TAP's A319 CS-TTP from runway 23 with the very last sunlight

Yesterday we had the first flight of Great Dane Airlines to Madeira. A flight from Aalborg, carried in one of the airlines Embraer (OY-GDA, an Embraer 195LR) Arrived by the end of the afternoon, on runway 23 A nice saturday afternoon apron.... Refueling...didn't wait for the departure, as the sun light was already gone and a bit of rain was coming...

First time I got TAP A320NEO CS-TVF Star Alliance departing from runway 23. On board, another planes enthusiast that was also flying on this bird for the first time. Hope you had a great flight ;) departing from runway 23, to Lisbon with a nice banking, after take-off...

It's not new that runway 23 landings/takeoffs are my favourites, specially on the afternoon...so, a few shots, from yesterday, of Transavia France B738 F-HTVF departing to Paris-Orly, from runway 23 A bit of an early take-off, as usual with Transavia France...
