Public Balcony

Imagem
For a bit of a change...an overview of Madeira's Airport public balcony. Definitely a great spot for the morning/night traffic

Transavia France

Imagem
Up and away...F-GZHC departing from runway 23, on an early take off....still Transavia is one of those airlines wich could be interesting to get some belly shots, specially with this kind of light...

TUI Belgium Family Life

Imagem
From September, a couple of shots of the arrival of TUI Belgium special livery Family Life, B738 OO-JAF. Had already published a few pics of the departure (Photo of the Week), taken from a spot I usually don't go, check HERE

The return of the B753

Imagem
It's been a while since Condor stopped using the B753 at Madeira. About a couple of weeks ago, they restarted bringing this beautifull bird to Madeira, but only yesterday managed to make some pics of one of those...D-ABOM With the winds and limitations of the airport forcing some holdings, everyone managed to land, except for the Lufthansa's A321NEO...crap...was hopping to get it for the first time... Anyway...a few shots on the landing of Condor's B753 D-ABOM, in runway 23

Tuifly RIU

Imagem
Tuifly is still one of the airlines that brings us more special liveries. I really do like this livery, beeing carried by B738 D-ATUZ for the RIU Hotels but never managed to get a pic that I considered really nice...mostly are with bad weather and/or on the apron/taxiiing...not my favourite kind of pics... This one isn't a wow pic but, at least is a landing action shot.... Check more D-ATUZ pics HERE

ADAC Air Ambulance

Imagem
From the same day of Smartlynx Malta (check HERE) and Condor retro (still to publish), ADAC's Learjet 60, arriving to get a person, on an ambulance flight to Germany arriving on runway 23 love this little jet, specialy on ADAC's livery...

The Maltese frige

Imagem
A couple of shots of Smartlynx Malta A320 9H-SLA, departing from runway 23... It's a white frige but maltese registrations are quite rare around here... (Still didn't go to the airport just for this one...)

Regresso ao PXO

Imagem

Binter take-off

Imagem
A couple of shots of Binter ATR-72 EC-JQL departing from runway 05 to Porto Santo, on the afternoon flight Currently Binter connects Madeira to Porto Santo and to the Canary islands (Tenerife and Grã Canaria)...looks like there's plans to another connection to Morocco  next year....let's wait and see....

Falcon 2000

Imagem
Só para o registo não ficar perdido no meio de tantas outras fotos do "baú", fica uma foto rápida de um Falcon 2000 norte-americano que estava num dos stands remotos, no passado dia 13 de Setembro 2019... N722JB...

Swiss A220 grounded...

Imagem
Ooops...looks like the A220 engines are getting the type into trouble.... Check more on that HERE  (Reuters news) HB-JCC at Zurich, last year...

From Basel, with wind...

Imagem
From last October, 8th with some wind, a few planes were making a bit of a bumpy approach... Easyjet Switzerland flight from Basel was one of those... A few shots of A320 HB-JXC on final to runway 05... taxiiing to runway 05 for the departure

Photo of the Week: Tuifly

Imagem
This week's photo is dedicated to Tuifly...a long time flyer to Madeira. When I stared photographing planes more seriously, back in 2004 they were already flying to Madeira, as Hapag-Lloyd...not long after, were rebranded as Hapagfly, before turning into Tuifly. It's a long time flying to Madeira and they must be the airline that brought us more special liveries than any other... Last Tuesday, there were 6 Tuifly flights...not a bad number...for the photo of the week, this double pic of B738's D-ABKA, a former Air Berlin plane and D-ATUI, with Robinson special livery. D-ABKA, back in May 2010, with Air Berlin colors

Pintura Especial Bisontes: 80k Horas!

Imagem

100 Years of KLM

Imagem
KLM colors at Madeira (PH-HZM, on service with Transavia but still with KLM colors was, in August 2006, the only time I saw the dutch airline colors around here) KLM Celebrates today its 100 aniversary, becaming the first airline to operate under the original name for more than 100 years. Congratulations! Originaly tough to be named as Dutch Airlines, it received by the Queen the Honor to carry the name "Royal" (Koninklijke), so becaming Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij (Royal Company of Aviation)...well...let's just stick to the KLM :) :) In Portugal,, the KLM is part of one of World War II little misteries: When the Nederland was invaded by the germans, some of the KLM planes outside the country went to England and the Dutch Goverment in exile / British authorities decided to put them to use (and its crews) with BOAC. In June, 1st 1943, the flight KLM/BOAC 777 departed from Lisbon to Withchurch (near Bristol) but never managed to reach its destiny...was s

Photo of the Week: Ukraine Air Alliance An-12

Imagem
Yesterday, UR-CAH, an Ukraine Air Alliance An-12 crashed at Ukraine as it was getting ready to land (check more info HERE ) It was a two year younger "brother" of UR-CAK, that visited us back in May, flying for the same company and carrying the same colors... RIP for the crew

Another Canadian TUI Nederland

A few shots of the other Sunwing B738 on summer service for TUI Nederland, which also looks nice...C-FTDW Second time I got it...the first was already almost dark (check HERE ) arriving on runway 23 entering trough taxiway "Charlie"

Travel Service 900

Imagem
A few shots of the landing of Travel Service B739 OK-TSI on Madeira's runway 05. Was a windy day but this one only seemed to have more trouble while entering the long final, just after GELO. Despite some crossed wind the struggling wasn't too obvious, like THIS TAP

Sata A321NEO

Imagem
First time I got this bird. The light was crappy and the pics are nothing too special but, it's a record.... A321NEO CS-TSH landing on runway 05, arriving from Ponta Delgada.... and a few shots of the departure, back to PDL ever tried reading this with a QR reader? lining up on runway 05, with the beacon...
