Planes and stuff

Tanto quanto me recordo, esta deve ter sido a vez que sobrevoei, num voo comercial, tão directamente sobre o Porto Santo. Apesar das nuvens e asa, ainda é perfeitamente visível a zona da pista 18 e do AM3 (Aeródromo de Manobra Nº 3, da Força Aérea):

From a couple of weeks a ago, 2 shots of the Swiftair ATR-72 used on the daily cargo flight between Lisbon and Madeira. In this case, EC-MAF, with Madeira Products special livery Arriving at the stand with one of the engines already shut business as allways as a Jet2 B738 departs from runway 05

This month, within a few days, we had a couple of Lynx helicopters at Funchal, unfortunatelly, the portuguese one was more shy and was only outside on arrival (which I didn't get...) The Brasilian navy ship "Barroso" stayed a few days at Funchal and, at least for one of the days, the onboard Super Lynx Mk21a was outside. Allways great to be head to head with a bird like this... Love the front and wings of the A350 (not much the tail...)...nothing to do with quality or efficiency...just a personal taste on looks... As I as making some time for my flight, noticed this was getting ready for the departure...decided to ignore the other traffic and stayed at the window for this one... A7-AMA ready to push back LATAM livery on a Qatar plane...first time I noticed this...

Back from May,  a shot on CS-TFQ, a former OMNI Learjet 45 (now operated by Air JetSul), departing from runway 23. Last time I got it was still operated by OMNI, back in 2014, HERE

B752 G-LSAJ at the apron Monday's are of British traffic at Madeira and Jet2 is a main flyer to Madeira on this day... B752 with Jet2 Holidays livery getting ready for the departure with another Jet2 B738 arriving on runway 05 and an Easyjet A320 still with UK registration (G-UZLA) taxiiing to the same runway.

Last week, photo of the week was dedicated to this fantastic bird, with arrival/departures pics of the first day...unfortunatelly with dark and rainy weather... After a fligh to Verona, Gordon Getty's plane returned to Madeira for a night-stop before taking its owner and guests back to United States. Fortunately, the departure was made with sunny weather... At Alpha 16, ready for the night-stop...  The next day, was time for return flight to USA.... getting the plane ready N311AG taxiing to runway 05 What an amazing and distintctive sight, a head to head with a B727...not many oportunities for this, these days.... departing...

TUI UK B752 G-OOBE ready for push-back Always a pleasure to see a B757...it's been a while since I last got a TUI Uk 757...looking at my files, this year still hadn't processed any TUI plane photo...don't really know if I didn't get any or got it but still are on the unprocessed folders...still, a nice catch anyway... Alitalia A320 EI-IKL pushing back with a Vueling A320 departing, on the back As usual, the only spotting I make outside is on arrival or while waiting for my flight...sorry the hard-core spottters but, so much to see and do when out of this small island...planes aren't really my priority when on vacation... Despite the huge amount of traffic, Vueling really stands out at El Prat for the quantity... Had my eye on a LATAM A350 ready for push-back but really wanted to get this Alitalia A320...got lucky enough to get it with a Vueling just airborn on the back....

Yesterday, Gordon Getty arrived at Madeira, on its classic private plane, the B727 N311AG. With a sunny week, yesterday had had dark weather and rain at Madeira airport...oh Murphy..... Still, it's definitely not everyday we have a B727 at Madeira (although, it's coming again today...and it's sunny).... on short final to runway 05 lucky shot with the beacon... Nova foto da semana...penso que foi a primeira vez que apanhei a sombra do avião no meio de um círculo de arco-íris...mesmo assim, apenas reparei nisso no pc...na altura em que tirei a foto, foi pela luminosidade difusa de final de tarde que achei dar um toque diferente...
