Planes and stuff

Back in October 2017, when we said farewell to Air Berlin after its bankruptcy, didn't think I'd still be seeing planes flying in its colors in 2019... Still, the German airlines that received their planes don't seem too eager to wipe out the Air Berlin livery...  from a couple of week's ago, B738 D-ABMV performing a Eurowings flight

Já que estou nos clássicos, mais um destes aparelhos, desta vez em voo. O Boeing Stearman da Aerofenix, há já quase 10 anos atrás, no Portugal Air Show 2009, que se realizou em Évora...infelizmente, o último deles... N62TS em voo...neste caso, sabia bem um vídeo, já que o som destas velhas glórias é algo de fantástico :) Aparentemente está em manutenção profunda...a ver se regressa aos céus nos próximos tempos

Esta semana não havia nenhum registo que me estivesse a "piscar o olho" para foto da semana mas, ontem ontem dei de caras com umas fantásticas fotos de PBY Catalina, e lembrei-me deste velho registo, que fiz há já alguns anos, de um destes aparelhos, do Ejército del Aire, no Museu de Cuatro Vientos, nos arredores de Madrid. Na altura, o aparelho já estava com um ar um tanto quanto maltratado, como é natural, num aparelho exposto no exterior, à mercê dos elementos. Entretanto, parece que em 2016 foi concluído um restauro no mesmo, após quase um ano de trabalhos (notícia e historial, AQUI )

O site de aviação militar " Pássaro de Ferro ", publicou recentemente um artigo relativamente à possibilidade da Força Aérea Portuguesa vir a efectuar o treino avançado dos seus pilotos de caça em aparelhos M-346 alugados, num projecto a desenvolver com outros parceiros, na Base Aérea de Beja. Podem ver o artigo AQUI Entretanto, uma boa oportunidade para partilhar um registo, que estava "a ganhar pó" no arquivo, do protótipo 002 deste aparelho, apresentado pela então Alenia Aermacchi no Paris Air Show de 2005, ainda no primário:

From last Saturday, while hanging out with the guys from PXO, got, for the first time this Edelweiss A320 (HB-JJK). Allways nice to get this one as it has definitely one of my favorite liveries. Arriving from cold Zurich, some of the crew took some time to enjoy some of the Madeira sun :) So, these ones are dedicated to Dominique and her crewmates! coming to a stop, after landing on runway 05 arriving to the stand Hope your pics turned out great..Happy flying! ;) 

Back almost 9 years...a shot on one of the Portuguese Air Force F-16's that made presence on the Portuguese Air Force 2010 Celebrations, which took place in Madeira: 15133 with the Jaguar on the tail (301 Sqn Symbol), together with a 502 Sqn C-295

According to some info, D-AGER , carrying the airline's 30th Aniversary special livery, is to be stored / scrapped in March, still, the year began with financial dificulties for Germania and for a moment it seemed like the plane would last the airline. Fortunately, it looks like they managed to secure the necessary financing to keep on, although some changes are to be made regarding the management and operacions...let's hope it works for a long time more. Check the latest news regarding that matter, HERE D-AGER coming to a stop on runway 23 A319 D-ASTJ and D-AGER... Germania is a regular presence at Madeira with a few weekly flights from various origins A shot that's an exemple on the fleet change as the B737 are leaving the fleet towards an Airbus fleet, which should receive some NEO's in a close future.

Joined recently a FaceBook Group regarding "old glory" aviation :) Despite I just do photographic plane spotting since 2004, already have some shots that are Aviation History part... Today shared this Air Finland B752 (OH-AFK) landing at Porto Santo , during a summer charter operation to that island. This airline went bankrupt in 2012 (check HERE )...

Yesterday gathered with a group of friends for some pics, talking and lunch. Great day! In the morning was going anyway to the airport, as the Norwegian from Copenhagen was bringing a special visitor :) Hope you had a great flight! Some pics of the arrival! Enjoy the stay! Por hoje fica um registo de um TAP por terras Helvéticas, como se nota facilmente pelo tráfego e bandeira ao fundo :) TAP A321 CS-TJE chegando ao stand, em Zurique (LSZH / ZRH)

From the same day's of Eurowings Borussia Dortmund (check HERE ), the departure of CS-TVA, TAP's only A320NEO. On duty since April, it was the first time I got this one. Smoke on startup... push-back to runway 23

The first spotting session of the year went for Borussia Dortmund special livery by Eurowings! As far as I know it was the first time the german airline brought us a special livery and was indeed the first time in long time I've seen so many spotters gathered to get a plane :) Allways great to spend some time with the guys. O objectivo do dia era a pintura especial da Germanwings, a primeira, tanto quanto sei, que esta companhia nos trouxe mas, outro dos destaques seria, de surpresa, este A319 da TAP, o CS-TTD... Tinha acabado de regressar à varanda, quando uma mensagem me fez esticar o pescoço a ver onde andavam os TAP's....era mesmo só este que lá estava. No cockpit, um dos tipos mais porreiros que já encontrei nestas andanças e que agora anda nos aparelhos que vão para o ar efetivamente porque descolam e não porque são repelidos da Terra (hehe...brincadeira...eu adoro helis..) Grande abraço e bons voos!  finalizando o push-back descolagem da 23... E por falar em Merlin37, espreitem AQUI , vale bem a pena seguir e ler os seus fantásticos textos!

Falcon 50 17402 da Força Aérea Portuguesa, operado pela Esquadra 504 Do mesmo dia de uma das minhas fotos preferidas do ano (ver AQUI ) tivemos outro movimento de destaque: O Falcon 50 17402 da Força Aérea Portuguesa com o Presidente da República Portuguesa, Dr.Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, na sua última visita de 2018 à Região, para um jantar de beneficência. Olhando para os registos, parece ter sido a única vez, durante o ano passado, que apanhei o Falcon 50 da FAP...é aproveitar, já que é igualmente um aparelho (com as respectivas tripulações e pessoal de apoio) que muito tem feito mas que já começa a ficar "cansado"...

Usually don't got for the Sunday morning traffic but had promised to make some pics of the arrival to someone on board. Ended up beeing the only Eurowings pic's I have made last year so, well worth it :) A320 D-ABHC landing on runway 05 still with some sun, a plane that flew previously with Air Berlinm with One World titles...check HERE coming to a stop with TAP A320 CS-TNY starting to taxi as the sun also goes away... entering the stand Welcome to Madeira :) Hope you're enjoying your stay C. ;)

No passado dia 28 de Dezembro tivemos a estreia dos 321NEO da Sata por cá, com a vinda do CS-TSF, de Ponta Delgada. Infelizmente nesse dia não deu para ir até aos lados do aeroporto...mas, no dia seguinte, a Sata deu nova oportunidade para apanhar o outro dos seus 321NEO, o CS-TSG. Embora a meteo estivesse mais escura que no dia anterior, sempre deu para tentar apanhar uns beacons :) chegada ao stand...quantos de vocês já tentaram ler aquele código QR? :) com o outro destaque do dia a sair: o A332 da TAP CS-TOG , descolando bastante cedo da 05 para Lisboa push-back para a 05
