Planes and stuff

De regresso ao dia da Operação Estrelícia , ficam 3 registos da chegada do A319 da TAP CS-TTG, chegando de Londres-Heathrow (LHR). Não são propriamente das minhas fotos preferidas do dia, mas como surgiu interesse em fotos na chegada deste aparelho, cá ficam: ;)

Nestes últimos dias, as idas ao aeroporto têm-se sucedido a um ritmo que há já muito não me lembrava de acontecer...Tudo por bons motivos, claro :) Fazendo um "backtrack", até à passada sexta-feira: além do Swiss Air Ambulance que já referi AQUI , tivemos por cá, durante a manhã, um C-130 da Força Aérea Portuguesa , movimento sempre digno de registo, especialmente para mim... O "C" era novamente o 16806, ostentanto a pintura especial, que assinala as 70501Horas de voo da frota. Na final para a 23 Entrando no stand, pelo taxiway "Charlie", com o HB-JRC, Challenger da Swiss Air Ambulance aguardando o paciente que transportaria. (Mais sobre este tráfego, AQUI )

Hoje tivemos por cá a habitual visita dos spotters da Associação Portugal Spotters, na sua edição deste ano da "Operação Estrelícia", a visita à Madeira e ao seu aeroporto no início da época de Inverno. Foi uma boa manhã de convívio (para mim, que tive de voltar ao Funchal pela hora de almoço), e certamente mais um excelente dia passado por cá para todos os outros que ficaram até ao final/regresso. Num dia em que, pela manhã, a tonalidade azul da Thomson predomina, ficam apenas um par de "bonecos" para marcar o evento... O grosso das fotos e movimentos depois serão colocados ao longo do tempo...

Today was finally the day I was expecting for some time: Finnair brought something new and it was 3 times new... :) They made their first flight with the Airbus A321 which was also the first A321 with sharklets at Madeira and also the first time we had their new livery around here. On final to runway 05, arriving from Helsinki, Vantaa (HEL/EGHK) Not taken from the exact location I wanted but it turned out ok, also. On the back, another bird I usualy don't photograph, despit beeing (in my opinion) one of the best looking liveries around : Edelweiss More on this later (where the most interesting ended up beeing the passengers and not the plane itself...) Esta manhã decidi que valia a pena dar um salto ao aeroporto e as expectativas não foram completamente defraudadas... Só faltou o sol ao encontro...que decidiu mandar a chuva no seu lugar... Este Swiss Air Ambulance, vindo de Las Palmas (LPA) tinha sido inicialmente autorizado a aterrar na pista 23 mas, a coisa complicou-se desse lado com uma cerração de chuva a tapar completamente a visibilidade do lado leste, pelo que continuou para a aproximação e aterragem na 05, que estava melhor. HB-JRC Apesar de tudo, a placa molhada ainda dá alguns reflexos interessantes Pouco depois chegava o C-130 da Força Aérea Portuguesa 16806, ostentando a pintura especial das 70501Horas Como a "chuveirada" já tinha passado, aterrou na 23.

Créditos: Força Aérea Portuguesa A Força Aérea Portuguesa efetuou esta madrugada o resgate aeromédico de uma tripulante do navio paquete “NORWEGIAN EPIC”, que navegava a cerca de 222 Km a oeste da ilha de Porto Santo, Arquipélago da Madeira. A tripulação de alerta do Destacamento Aéreo da Madeira descolou o helicóptero EH-101 “Merlin” pouco depois da meia-noite, em direção à zona de operações. Assim que resgatou com sucesso a passageira do paquete e o seu companheiro, o EH-101 dirigiu-se para o Aeroporto do Funchal, onde a doente foi entregue a uma equipa médica. O EH-101 "Merlin" deu a missão como concluída ao aterrar no Aeródromo de Manobra N.º 3 (Porto Santo, onde efetua destacamento), após cerca de três horas de voo. Comunicado da Força Aérea Portuguesa O navio em questão tinha feito escala no Funchal durante o dia de ontem, numa viagem com origem em Barcelona e dirigia-se, após a saída do Funchal, a St.Thomas, nas Caraíbas. Por hoje fica apenas uma foto do B757 da Jet2, com a pintura Jet2 Holidays, o G-LSAD, fotografado no inicio do mês. A manhã de spotting não estava a correr muito bem, com o tempo a ficar cada vez mais escuro e as novas pinturas Thomson a "faltarem ao encontro". na final curta para a 05 Com o desvio do "companheiro de equipa" deste para o Porto, por emergência médica, um 737 igualmente com a pintura Jet2 Holidays, decidi ir-me embora logo após este, porque isto dos hobies são para ser feitos com vontade...

Last week, on the same day of my first Easyjet with sharklets (check  HERE ) got also my first  Germania  B737 of the year... Curiously it was D-AGEP, wich is also the first  Germania  B737 with winglets I photograph... Runway 23 was in use.... The return flight....taxiing to runway 23, through taxiway Bravo and, the take off on the right spot.... on the back, the small planes area...including, the Q200 from Sata that is used in the Madeira-Porto Santo-Madeira route

A couple of weeks after getting Aigle Azur new colors for the first time, got it at night (also for the first time). The flight from Paris Orly is on a new schedulle and it was a great oportunity for some night shots. Getting ready to push-back, for runway 23 F-HBIO This one was made at ISO800 but still looks rather nice (in my screen...) without using any kind of "noise" processing. CS-TJF had just arrived from Lisbon and, in the back, Aigle Azur (ZI338) was taking off to Paris - Charle de Gaulle (same city of departure but diferent airport...) 

Finally managed to get my first Easyjet with sharklets... It wasn't an easy task (nor an easy trip, for the passengers...) The plane got quite delayed at London Gatwick due to the problems that the south terminal had with the flooding and eletrical issues, arriving here late in the night. With all that I had already given up on getting the plane ... After all, they ended up having a few more issues on the departure, from Madeira and the return flight got delayed to the next day... That one I could get... Arriving at the airport, noticed the plane got yet another hour delay but finally, it departed.... That sharklet is a very nice place to print the airline's name G-EZWN linning up on runway 23... It's not my favorite kind of pics but, after all that wait it was too risky to go to a spot where I could get the take off... These are more boring but more safe pics.... taking off

No...not sharing any secret on the latest movie...it's really an aircraft spoiler beeing deployed, during the landing of Sata's CS-TKP landing at Madeira's runway 05.... ;) (Yes...I know it was a bad word joke, but just couldn't resist...)

O EH-101 da Esquadra 751 da Força Aérea Portuguesa, destacado no AM3 - Porto Santo efectuou, ontem à noite, duas evacuações médicas, daquela ilha para a Madeira.

Hoje dei um salto ao aeroporto para apanhar o meu primeiro Easyjet com sharklets...estava complicado...(e  então para os passageiros....essas ficam para depois) mas, acabei por fazer as fotos que considero mais interessantes ao velhinho Fokker 100 da PGA... A pista em uso era a 23, que à tarde dá sempre umas perspectivas interessantes... CS-TPF na final curta para a pista 23 Já no regresso, o taxi para a 23, passando por trás do A320 da Condor que entretanto havia chegado A descolagem no lugar certo....    Esta podia ter sido a tal...pena que acabei por cortar-lhe um pouco do leme de profundidade... a luz a fazer um interessante efeito de contraste e realce dos elementos da fuselagem e asas

On this afternoon the wind was a bit tricky with tail wind on both runways but planes managed to land ok, except for this Air Berlin that had to make a go-around... D-ABKJ going around on runway 05 After another circuit, managed to land. Taxiing to the apron trough taxiway "Bravo" Somehow, the title of this entry reminded me the Beach Boys...so, another bit of stuff, with a video of their "I get around" :) Enjoy....
