Para foto da semana, fica um registo do passado Domingo, com o TAP A320 CS-TNY em primeiro plano e um dos motivos da minha ida ao aeroporto, ao fundo, descolando em segundo plano...um dos 2 EH-101 Merlin da Royal Navy, de regresso ao HMS Queen Elizabeth....

Lauda Air

For this post, a pic back from 2004 (May, 3rd)...
A Lauda Air B734 lining up on runway 05:

Made it's first flight in 1993, left Lauda Air in 2005 (according to Airfleets was stored in 2003 but...that should be a mistake or at least it wasn't stored until 2005, once I got it flying in 2004...

Currently in ASL Airlines, after a few changes during these last years...

I guess it's obvious the knickname...
Around here it's also called "Batatoon"...named after a kid's show with a famous national clown... :P
Besides the engine sticker, it's really the only colorful area of the planes.....

Tuifly RIU

From the same day of the Royal Navy Merlin's (Check HERE), the arrival of Tuifly's D-ATUZ, with the RIU Hotels special livery...it still wasn't the day for a nice sunny landing...

Photo of the Week: Royal Navy Merlins

Yesterday we got, for the first time, a couple of Royal Navy EH-101 Merlin's, operated by the 820 Naval Air Squadron , currently boarded on HMS Queen Elizabeth, sailing to the south Atlantic.

The couple of helicopters (ZH854 and ZH835) made 3 flight to unboard a good number of crew members...

taxiing to runway 05 for a return flight to HMS Queen Elizabeth. Nice to photograph a Merlin with this grey livery, as I'm used to see our own Merlin's with the green/brown camo.

Photo of the Week: Luftansa retro

According to some sources, last saturday the A321 with Lufthansa's new livery (D-AISP) was schedulled to Madeira...unfortunatelly that didn't happened (though, I'm not really a fan of the new livery....)

So, decided it was a great oportunity for sharing finally the pic's of their first flight of the current operation, carried through by A321 D-AIDV with the retro livery and received by the water canons of SLCI (fire department) of Madeira Airport.

A330 de regresso

Amanhã, a TAP deverá efetuar 2 voos extra com o A330. em virtude das condições meteorológicas que afetaram hoje a operação no Aeroporto da Madeira (vento...)
Se não houver alterações, esses voos deverão ser efetuados pelo CS-TOE que, curiosamente foi o primeiro A330 da TAP a vir à Madeira, aquando da substituição dos A310 pelos 330 nos voos de Caracas.

Actualmente já só recebemos, por norma, voos TAP em A330 para reposição de voos cancelados por meteo...
