Sunwing: the Canadian Dutch

During summer, many airlines lease planes from far away places but you don't expect to see many of those birds around here...after all, many do come with their own crews and certificating a captain for a couple of flights to Madeira isn't very common...they just do other flights to other destinations with no certification needed...

So, it was a great surprise and definitely a moment to register the presence of the "Canadian Dutch" TUI Family life special livery that is also a Sunwing hybrid....

On the push-back to Amsterdam with the Sunwing titles on the inside of the Scimitar Winglet and the Canadian flag...

Definitely a diferent livery for this TUI Family Life...the hybrid parts of the Sunwing with the Netherlands national color suit pretty well on an Arke (TUI Netherlands) plane....

The full plane revealling a very nice livery ;)

TUI Uk big bird

Thomson's (TUI UK) more common planes around here are the B738 and the B752 but every now and the (twice...as far as I can remember) we get a bigger bird....no...not the 787...at least not yet...let's hope that's a bird we can see here, someday...
B767 G-OBYE taxiing to the apron, after a runway 05 landing.
Like the first time I got their 767, also this time the weather was dark and that was the only area with some sun....
Late on the afternoon, didn't wait for the departure...

O regresso do cargueiro

Photo of the Week: Sevenair new livery

Sometimes I do complain of bad luck on the spotting but sometimes it really hits the spot.
Latelly my spotting trips at the airport have been very few but still managed to get the first arrival of Aerovips replacement Jetstream (SE-FVP, check HERE) and the first time of the old CS-DVQ with the new Sevenair livery, after maintnance at the mainland, lucky moments...

SE-FVP moments before, preparing the departure to Porto Santo on the regular flight
CS-DVQ isn't still performing the regular flights...

Easyjet

A few shots from the beginning of the month with a catch of the arrival of Easyjet's A320 G-EZRJ from a diferent spot.
This usually isn't a good spot for the runway 05 landings but, late in the afternoon and with a bit of a late landing turned out ok....Captain had some "Love" card on the window and other stuff but couldn't notice what really was...

Belgium Family Life...Getting stupid

Had already some shots of Thomson's (TUI Uk) Family Life G-FDZG (check HERE) but this was the first time I got the belgium one (OO-JAF).
With runway 23 in use, would probably get some nice shots but decided to try to find a bit of a diferent spot for this take-off, as the G-FDZG had also been caught from here....
Well...long story short....this is the only pic I got of the plane.....

British Airways from 23

First day of another handling company for British Airways at Madeira.
It should be interesting to register the moment with the handling vehicles around,,,unfortunatelly arrived to late for that...still...got the take-off...always nice on afternoons with runway 23 in use.
A320 G-GATS departing back to London Gatwick...
Feel free to bring an A320 with Sharklets, anytime.....
