O dia de hoje mostrou, apesar de meteorologia pouco "apetitosa", uma pontinha bem composta, em termos de navios de cruzeiros.

Na ponta, o bem conhecido Costa Deliziosa, a meio o Ryndam, da Holland America, que, embora presença menos habtiual por cá, já não é um desconhecido.
A finalizar a tripla de navios de cruzeiro, o mais pequeno Kristina Katarina que, nunca tinha visto por cá...
No seu local habitual, o Lobo Marinho, ferry que efectua as viagens inter-ilhas mas, que hoje não efectua a sua habitual viagem, devido ao estado do mar

Holidays Czech Airlines Premiere

Holidays Czech Airlines took the Paris, Charle de Gaulle route that used to be made by Enter Air.
Passing in Fuerteventura and then in Madeira, before returning to Paris, it was the first time we had this airline around.

Deutchland

Esta tarde chamou-me à atenção o facto do Deutchland pernoitar na Madeira.

Confesso que continuo a achar um atractivo especial neste tipo de navios de cruzeiros mais pequenos e mesmo que de forma rápida, lá lhe tirei uns "retratos"...

Baixa do Funchal, com a torre da Sé e o Deutchland em destaque...

A iluminação nocturna dos cruzeiros é algo sempre bonito de ver...
Embora a foto ficasse mais interessante com um céu menos escuro por trás, já noite escura foi a hora que se pode arranjar, para estas fotos...

Looks like another airline that used to come to Madeira (in the last few months) was shut...

According to the public release, it will be a temporary stop of flight operations...(but unfortunatelly we know what this probably means...)

Once, back in 2007, still with the nice MD-90...

Unfortunatelly, the time of the day wasn't the best to me...only managed to photograph it once...
(and now these pics are worth gold, to me....)

West Air Europe cargo flights

When Sata got rid of its ATP's I thought it was the last time I'd seen those kind of birds around...
With the dayly cargo flights beeing made by West Air Europe, we've seen the ATP's return and with quite a change of registrations...

These were taken on the same day of the EH-101 (check HERE)

Faleceu hoje uma das figuras incontornáveis da aviação em Portugal.


O Cmte José Sequeira Marcelino, faleceu aos 96 anos de idade (20JAN1916-19OUT2012) e foi sem dúvida um dos aviadores Portugueses que se tornou um marco, na sua profissão, como piloto e como pessoa, pela sua longa e distinta carreira e pelos grandes momentos da História da aviação nacional e do país em que participou.

Deixo informação acerca de 2 excelentes livros.
O primeiro, obra biográfica acerca Cmdt. Marcelino: "A Vida que Eu quis - TAP264"

Spottada de despedida...

Numa tarde em que não se previa nada de absolutamente especial ou interessante, só mesmo o que se previa ser a spottada de despedida na Madeira, de um companheiro destas lides é que poderia atraír tanta gente e máquina fotográfica por metro quadrado às rampas... :)

Da minha parte, valeu mesmo mais pelo convívio, do que pelas poucas ou nenhumas fotos que tirei, no entanto, para azar de alguém, ainda tivemos a presença do Medic36, o C-295 (16701) da Força Aérea Portuguesa, baseado no Porto Santo (AM3), efectuando uma Medevac daquela ilha para cá...

O CS-TNU da TAP foi outro que mereceu umas fotos e até nem saíu mal, até porque tenho poucas fotos deste avião...

Grande abraço J.B., vamo-nos falando por aí (e com pontaria ainda dá para mais uma spottada, antes de ires...)

New Photo of the Week: Phenom 300

The Embraer Phenom is quite a rare sight around here.
It's a nice little bizjet and in this case, PP-ABV (a Phenom 300) holds a great livery.

After the inside pic of last week, I guess that this one's a great example that outside pics can also turn out really nice and personally, my best/fav. pics are from the outside, no doubt....
